Paleo Life Box Review | September 2015

Posted by Lindsey

One of my greatest joys when reviewing snack boxes is having a box that is packed with snacks that I have never heard of before. Paleo Life Box is a monthly subscription service that gives the consumer a number of healthy products, ranging in flavor and texture. I really enjoy this little introduction into the Paleo diet!

Let’s dive in:

Paleo Item #1: Tanka Bar

I became a big fan of buffalo meat when I lived in South Dakota, so this product was right up my alley. The jerky taste mixed with different fruits made for a really awesome snack! I had no problem scarfing this down whatsoever.

Paleo Item #2: Macadamia Chocolate Chip Snack

I have been on a really big Macadamia nuts lately, and this snack was a great addition. I love any snack that is crunchy and chewy at the same time because it’s like the best of both worlds when it comes to texture. This product was incredibly sweet and I really liked eating it.

Paleo Item #3: Apple to the Core Peeled Snacks

I wasn’t really crazy about these so I gave them to my mom. I don’t really liked apples in a dry crunchy texture and this is pretty much what this snack was. However, my mother really enjoyed them so I think it may be a real hit or miss with a lot of people.

Paleo Item #4: Granola

I think one of the best things about this product was how healthy it was. Any food that is Gluten-Free and GMO free, along with being Raw and Vegan, is the kind of snack that I try to eat as often as possible. I thought the mix of nuts and fruits made for a really awesome snack!

Paleo Item #5: Simplified Energy Bar

I wasn’t really crazy about the flavoring for this item. I feel like the nuts and fruits didn’t really clash together well and it left a weird after taste.

Paleo Item#6: Wild Zora Turkey and Veggie Bars

I personally only like eating things like Turkey when they are cooked and prepared in a Thanksgiving like setting or on a sandwich. I really hope Turkey Jerky is not here to stay because I wasn’t into it at all.

Paleo Item #7: Mango Chipotle Beef Jerky

This is probably one of the most unique kinds of jerky I have ever tasted. I really thing the sweet mango flavoring added a tangy twist to the jerky which made it pretty exclusive and distinctive.

Paleo Item #8: Protien Bar

This was honestly pretty standard protein bar. There was nothing really that good or bad about it. I might try another if I see it around, though.

Final Thoughts: September’s Paleo Box

The more and more I see healthy snack boxes, the more I think about how the world is heading in the right direction as far as eating is concerned. Even though some of the products came up short in flavor, I have to respect the fact that they were healthy and nutritious. This box also gave me a great introduction to the Paleo diet in general. 5 out of 5 stars!
