Tell us your story! What inspired you to launch your box?
Modern life can take a toll. It happened to me. After a corporate job, I moved to a startup where I worked around the clock. So, I took time off to focus on myself and explore ways to manage my stress.
At first, what I found was overwhelming. A million different options that promised to whisk my problems away. I wished there was a simpler solution, something that would make my stress-relief routine truly stress-free. During that exploration, I switched from drinking coffee everyday to tea and I realized how tea could help me with my well-being.
That’s how Respyre was born. I spent a year crafting wellness teas with the perfect ingredients and now, I want to give everyone the chance to commit to themselves. I really understand how modern corporate life can take a toll, and I am deeply committed to help others in similar situations that I was in.
Why this subscription box –– and why now?
2020 has been full of surprises and emotions, which are taking a toll on our physical and mental health. At Respyre, our mission is to make wellness and relaxation easy for everyone, and we believe this can start with a daily cup of wellness tea –– tea that is crafted to taste good and make you feel good.
We have seen stronger growth this year as more people look for simple self-care options that they can access online.
What are you hoping to accomplish with your business? What does success look like to you?
To give as many people as possible the access to high quality wellness teas so that they can live healthier daily routines.
Tell us about your product curation for each box. How do you decide what goes into the box for your customers? Where do you source your products from?
We feature two wellness teas every month as part of a coherent monthly theme focused on a specific health benefit, which is typically relevant to the season (e.g., immunity in winter months).
We design our monthly menu based on the benefits and flavor profile of tea ingredients. We source our teas from industry-leading suppliers based in the U.S. with high-quality standards. The raw ingredients come from around the world.
