I was super excited to try this box since my family is full blown Irish. Man was it such a disappointment when I opened it. I thought that the first box was just a fluke as it contained oven mitts, two postcards, shortbread cookies and a glass angle ornament. I just thought that because of the glass angle the rest of the box was a little stingy. Boy was I wrong!!!! I received the second box now and it has a mug, a creamer and sugar bowl. The creamer and sugar bowl is handmade from an Irish potter which yes I can appreciate as I also do pottery but honestly, I feel that it’s lacking. The mug has an banjo on it and has shamrocks randomly set on it. Oh and the last item was your run of the mill wax candle in a tin. Honestly this stuff could have come from anywhere and not a single item is worth me paying the amount of money I paid for this subscription. I’m so glad I only got a three month subscription and only wish I had gone with the month by month because then I wouldn’t have wasted any more money. I would NOT recommend this subscription and I definitely would NOT renew it for myself again.
I subscribe to a few different boxes and this was my first one from Therabox. Although I feel the book may be too young for me, I’ll be adding it to my pile of gift items for my niece. I can’t wait to try the tea bags and I think the pen will add a little bit of class to my check book folder. To me a good box is one that offers a unique items that other boxes don’t like the iced tea bags. Any box can add a new lipstick or mascara but a box curated with unique items is what is really special. I can’t wait for the next box!
