Communication requires improvement

Boxed Locks on Jan 2021

I placed an order for a 3-month, pre-paid subscription box (purchased as a Christmas gift) on 1 November, 2020 (knowing the boxes are shipped the month following that when the order is placed - i.e. December). Due to a delivery mix-up (not the fault of Boxed Locks), the box remained in limbo for several weeks - the confusion was intensified by the fact that the order status was never updated, no shipping confirmation was sent and my initial email query to the company went unanswered. As of mid-January 2021, the order status for the first shipment still states the first box is 'being prepared' (this has remained unchanged for more than 1 month), despite the fact that the second box should be en route.
