I liked this box. The items are def higher quality than other boxes I’ve done. And thus far (1 box with a vampire theme) it was all full sized items that even if they weren’t your bag you could definitely use as gifts. The theme was also pretty obvious and you could tell the curator had sourced items thoughtfully. Also, I felt like it more mature than other boxes I’ve gotten that are aimed at quirky/goth/alternative people. But also would make a teen happy.
I subscribed to this box from their site for a couple of months I thought the items were nice. Definitely an interesting, fun, subscription.
So, the thing that bothered me was I chose the box based on the good reviews and when it arrived there was a note saying they will give you free items if you give a 5 star review in 10 words or less. This seems unfair to the consumer.
So, this is not expensive box and the items are not high quality but again it’s not that expensive of a box. I got the Galaxy box and I’d say that the value of the items was mostly likely less than I paid. But, to be fair the company needs to make a profit to function. Some of the items were cute. Most fit the theme. I got hand cream and stick on nails that had nothing to do with the theme. But some cute stickers, a cute pair of socks, a cute air freshener and some cheapish jewelry than my 4 year old will wear and a pair of earrings that I will. I bought 6 months at once and I am stuck with it so I’m hoping I enjoy the next box (I think punk rock) more.
I will say the super harsh reviews are a bit much, since this isn’t an expensive box and no one should be expecting really high quality items. I think some boxes are from companies that are not exclusively selling subscription boxes and use the boxes to move old inventory which enables them to include higher quality or more expensive...
