I initially signed up for one box, but I found out that there are bonuses for getting multiple boxes. Things like answering questions on the Facebook page and posting pictures of your favorite items can get you bonus items in the next month's box! Also, I had a question, so I texted the curator and she is not only very responsive, but extremely motivated to get you the best box possible for your tastes! She is a fantastic communicator and a joy to work with. This box is totally worth experiencing because each box is different and each is it's own experience. You won't be disappointed!
Hey! I Waited until I could use at least a few of these to leave a review because otherwise it would be all aesthetics and initial impressions. Like anybody else, I opened each individual bottle and smelled them directly before even considering diffusing or wearing them. I, personally, never wear oils (even in carriers) directly on my skin. I use personal diffusers for localized scent and both water and nebulizing diffusers in my home. At the moment, I'm not a fan of my nebulizer because it changes the smell, so I'm sticking with the water diffuser for this.
These oils aren't just in a very pretty box with a little description card. They come with a little knowledge card with uses and whether they are topical safe and how. Fantastic for beginners or even just users to have reminder cards around. On the back of that card is diffuser recipes/blends for the oils specifically in your box. I have done a couple of them and right now it's Fresh Forest and my home smells sublime. It's not ridiculously strong, but people comment on it when they walk in.
Something I love a lot about this box, is if you visit their website, you can see what is in the box before you order it. This is extremely important to me because I have allergies to certain concentrated oils and scents, such as pine and ALL...
Being that it's a bath related box, it's difficult to try everything right away. I have smelled it all and tested what I was able to, the lip balm, the soap, the sugar scrub. The bath salt soak is what I've not tried yet, but it smells heavenly and can't wait to get away from the kids long enough to use it!
The lip balm in this month's box was carrot based, like everything else, but rather than tasting like something recognizable, it had a smell. Disregarding the smell, it was soft and malleable, so it wasn't so hard it would take the skin off your lips rather than spread evenly. It doesn't taste like anything, really, at all. It smells like week old McDonald's in the back of the truck...I'm sorry.
The soap is very earthy and you can tell by touching it that it is oil based and will be easy to use. No heavy petting to get suds out of this bar! Smells amazing and my bathroom is all the better for it!
The sugar scrub was by far the best part of this box, that I have tried. I used it in the shower (being careful not to use it near my girly parts for fear of an infection) and could immediately fell the difference. After the sugar dissolves and you rinse it off, there is a softness to your skin that is just amazing! I smell...
I love the monthly boxes so much that I also buy directly from the store or online as well! Their products are wholesome and great for your skin and smell great. I've actually thrown away (or given away) many other soaps and body washes I had stashed in my guest bathroom and stock only these soaps and body products for the most part. This year, I'm giving my sister a basket I put together of my favorites for Christmas. If you haven't tried this company, you need to. You have NO IDEA what you're missing!
