Here at Cratejoy HQ, we knew that this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday Marketplace sales were going to be big, but we had no idea how big they were going to be.
To make a long story short, results were record-breaking. Our merchants didn’t just deliver, they blew it out of the water!
Here are a few highlights:
• Black Friday Marketplace sales were up 260% from last year
• Cyber Monday Marketplace sales were up 300% from last year
• 1200 merchants made at least one sale from Cratejoy’s Marketplace in November
• Merchants on the Marketplace reach $1k GMV 50% faster
Cratejoy’s holiday promotion efforts:
Throughout the 2017 holiday season alone, Cratejoy is spending over a million dollars in marketing and advertising to help as many of our merchants as possible grow their subscription box businesses. We feel strongly about investing in the success of our merchants, and as such, we’ve gone all in on our holiday promotion efforts.
This year, we’ve secured various ad placements via radio (SiriusXM), in New York City (subway ads + a Times Square ad), and in the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. We’re also working with major media outlets like Forbes, Huffington Post, CBS, Buzzfeed, and many more to get our merchants the exposure we feel that they deserve.
