We currently work directly with publishers! If you have a book releasing through a publishing company and want us to know about it, you can e-mail us with the name of the book, author name, release date, and the publishing company!

Hi there! A vast majority of our products are vegan. We do our best to work with small vendors that used allergy-free ingredients that are sourced ethically. Occasionally, an item might have beeswax (such as in lip balms), but that is the only non-vegan items that might be present. I would guess that this happens in approximately 2 boxes a year. The best book box on cratejoy! I've tried almost all of them and I keep coming back to Unplugged. They seem to offer the most value for your money, are very communicative, and have great book picks! I've gotten candles, lotions, bath products, bags, mugs, blankets, tea, journals, pens, coffee, kitchenware items, coasters, alarm clocks, decorative goodies, and so much more! Every box has been very good and very unique. They had a delay this month but have been very open and communicative about it and I know it's worth the wait! Other boxes, I wind up throwing most of it away or its poor quality or junk that sits around. So I just love that it's all stuff I can use!

Unplugged Book Box is legit one of my favourite subscription boxes. Not only do we get beautiful, thoughtful, and *useful* self-care products with every box, but the team is also amazing, focused on supporting small business, mental health, and featuring marginalized authors, in and outside of the boxes. Not to mention, they’re also totally on the ball with their customer service and keeping you up to date with any information!!
The usefulness of the items is a very big point for me, because even if you don’t like the fandom, you still end up using the product instead of it just collecting up. Just from the October box, we have soap, room spray, a wall hook, and even a seasonal candle to use. Of course we still get bookish box staples like bookshelves and pins, which are always gorgeous, but my faves are still the usable self-care products!
I’ve had an incredible experience with Unplugged and would recommend this box (Adult or YA) to anyone looking for a wonderful gift this holiday season!

WOW! Just got my first box and it was GREAT! The book looks fun and enjoyable and this box included a really nice candle, a cute little soap, a lotion bar, a beautiful tapestry/sheet that can be used at the beach or or picnic, and a mug warmer that is SO pretty and works great!! Totally worth it, especially when you compare this to some of the other book boxes. They have great value and everything is usable!
