I was so excited about this subscription, that I purchased 6 months upfront! Whilst the booklet and theming is thoughtfully curated, getting the box a month late for all but 1 month in 6 has meant the only thing I could rely on with this subscription was it's unreliability. I understood there would be delays of imported goods to curate these boxes (due to the 2020 pandemic) and was hopeful the business could future plan after a couple of months as other small businesses had done (I subscribe to others). Sadly, no and the quality and quantity of the contents in the boxes also took a downward turn. If you are a planner or someone who struggles to accept the uncertainty of their purchases actually arriving, then this subscription is unlikely to be for you.
I've received three boxes so far and the experience has been... okay. This last box contained 2 items easily found on AliExpress making it very difficult to see how we get value for money in every box.
The shipping has been extraordinarily late with no explanation provided if you aren't a member of the Facebook group. I understand a pandemic is going on but maybe sending out a mass email apologising for the box being sent a month (!) late would help the delay go down easier as well as reduce the number of impatient queries. It also doesn't help that when people leave feedback in the form of a negative review it seems to be ignored by the business and generally attacked by loyal subscribers, which is not a good look. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and the opportunity to share their experience.
Customer service is SO important to any business, and just saying you don't have time for it isn't good enough.
That said, the artwork on the booklet is stunning, and the information provided is well researched. Generally there are one or two items in the box that are nice. This box has some real potential and I would like to see it improve but at this stage I can't recommend it.
Honestly, this is beyond disappointing. It’s one thing to have received previous months packages the day after the full moon, but for this one to have been SENT the day after the full moon is a disgrace. It seems to me like you’re operating beyond your means because I’ve never once since November received a box within a reasonable time frame, and I’m so glad I’ve cancelled my subscription because it’s such a disappointment. The full moons are on a pretty set time frame and pretty well calculable, I really don’t know how difficult it is to get your stuff sorted and sent out at the beginning of the month instead of the end of the month. Really disappointing, such a waste of time and money. I look forward to receiving March’s full moon ritual maybe in time for April’s full moon, but more than likely not.
Customer service is absolutely atrocious. Sometimes multiple payments can go out before your first box arrives. Trying to contact the owner takes a lot of work and the Facebook group for subscribers deletes anything negative that gets said. There's a lot of horror stories out there where the owner cant delete them. The product is nice though when the jars don't arrive open with herbs everywhere.
