My sister gave me this for my birthday and I really loved it. So much fun. Love that it’s a box of surprises and a thriller book. I enjoyed the care put into it. My box had a nice pillow case which is perfect for this season and some yummy tea and a lovely coaster and some other cute things in addition to the book!

Reached out to them to partner up for an unboxing and honest review. Spoke with the owner to get my box and she was kind. The box was cool. There was a full size pillowcase. A coaster with a funny quote and some other stuff I'll mostly use. I think this box will go far.

Bad Alibi Book Box is a box made perfectly for thriller, mystery and/or suspense lovers. Each box contains a book and some bookish goodies that have been carefully chosen by the owner of this box.
The box is packed with care and each item clearly shows just how much care is put into these boxes. The past two boxes (February and March 2021) were packed with shredded paper, it was both eco friendly packaging and it also added a lovely touch.
The person behind these boxes is also an absolutely wonder. They're patient, cooperative and if you have the slightest problem, they'll work to try and help it get better.
Overall wonderful customer service and wonderful products! I would so recommend this box to anyone!

You can submit a short story (300 words max) or mini-mystery (200-word max riddle) with the answer to hello(at)badalibibooks(dot)com
The only requirements are that it's an original piece by you, if you're under 18 you have your parents' permission and that you've checked it over for any grammatical mistakes. It can be about anything as long as it can fall under the thriller/mystery/suspense genres.
You will be paid for this through Paypal if your story is chosen.
Q: It says "order by Dec 18th to get by Christmas" and also "ships every month on the 23rd", which seems like different info. I do NOT want it to be received before Christmas, when should I order?Asked by Julie Y., December 2021

Thanks for your question. So we typically ship by the 23rd for boxes each month but will ship by the 18 because a lot of people purchase as Christmas gifts. If you want yours to be sent after Christmas just write us after you've made your purchase saying you want it to arrive after and we will hold on to it so that it gets there after the holiday. The September theme was Wine and True Crime. The picture shows a full unboxing of what came in that box and you can still purchase one in the shop on our website. The featured book was 'The Nothing Man' and it came with an audiobook of 'Rewind', a bookmark, blood splatter coasters, Hocus Pocus earrings, 1 short story, and 1 mini-mystery. The short story and mini-mystery (riddle with an answer) can be WRITTEN BY YOU!
October Box
The October box theme was Oh The Horror and it came packed full of goodies including a notebook, ouija hair box, and more.
November: Secrets and Ghost Box
This box comes with 2 YA books. 1 is a thriller and the other is a cozy mystery. This picture is a sneak peek of Bad Alibi's first ever tote bag that will be in the box.
January Box
Are you ready for a spoiler about our January box? It will come with a very cute cup specifically designed for this box. It will be Bad Alibi's first and definitely not something you'll want to miss out on. It will not be the one pictured.
February Box (Valentine's Box)
Our February theme is all about obsession someone thinks is love. We put a fun but dark twist on the month of love and you won't be disappointed. We will have a YA book 2 full-sized self-care items, our monthly stories from Bad Alibi followers like you, and more. This is great for a late Valentine's Day gift as they will not ship until the 22. Or it can just be a gift to let someone know you were thinking of them .
March Box
Our March theme is "A Deadly Transgression' and once you read this page-turning indy thriller you will quickly see how I got the theme name ;) This is a YA novel where 3 friends use their armchair detective skills to stop criminals. They use the help of their fans through their podcast (I mean come on who doesn't love a good podcast). The March box will have some goodies that will let you pamper yourself while you read.
April Box
Aprils Theme is A Moment for Murder In this YA novel a few kids have snuck out late out at night to have fun but what they didn't expect was to be witnesses to a murder. 🥂 This box will come with something you can drink, which will be Bad Alibi's first time doing an item like this. There will also be other goodies that you can use and enjoy. There will also be a small self-care item (not the one pictured).
May Box - Recipe for Disaster
Our May box is all about culture, food, and mystery. This box will have the item featured here, Killer Mudd brownie mix, an accessory to wear, and more fun goodies to go along with the book and theme for the month.
June Box - Stack the Deck
Our June box's theme is 'Stack the Deck.' The book is a diverse, queer YA thriller that has been described as 'Gossip Girl' meets 'Get Out'. This box will have an item you can play with designed for Pride month and some self-care items designed for you to relax with while you read.
July Box
For July we are featuring a book with a zombie hunter. One of the items in this box will be a kitchen towel that goes along with out theme (not the one pictured). Snag your box now. There are only a handful left for the month.
August Box
The August Box theme is 'Watched by the Enemy'. The box will be packed with fun goodies, some of which we haven't featured before.
September Box
The September theme is 'Every Kiss Begins with Kill.' The book is about girls who are murdered after using a popular dating site to find love. The book will have signed bookmarks and there will be very fun items in this box that will help you enjoy a great novel and help us celebrate Bad Alibi's 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!
