- Choose to receive 1, 2, or 3 new and/or gently used books. Books are typically trade paperbacks or hardbacks. Selection is customized to YOU! No two boxes are the same - we build each box specifically for that recipient and content is based on the survey you fill out at sign up.
- Each month will feature a fun extra that all boxes will receive (see Sneak Peek). In addition, each box will have 2 to 4 customized extras. Extras are based on the answers you provide in the survey questions, but many options are showcased in our photos.
- Who are we? Box of Books comes from a small, mom-and-daughter bookstore located in California that has been in business for 14 years. Our favorite part of the job is recommending a great read to our customers!
- GIFTABLE! Box of Books makes a great gift for any book lover. Let us know as much as you can about the reader and we'll do the rest. Gifting for a birthday? We'll toss in a birthday sparkler and make it festive. Other occasion? Just let us know. We LOVE to make it fun!

If you subscribe on the 10th of a given month, renewals will also ship out within a few days of the 10th of each month in which the subscription is active. I hope helps.

January is Smelly and Fuzzy!
Our January box extras feature a candle and/or fuzzy socks. Most candles are from Backyard Candles and are coconut based. They are small batch and smell delicious. Plus 5% of the cost of each candle goes to protecting the environment! If candles are not one of the extra options you select then we will send you some fuzzy socks! The perfect touch of coziness while you hunker down in the wintery weather with a good book.
December is INDULGENT!
We have so many great extras, it's hard to pick just one to feature for December! And we do want to be a bit indulgent this month. Each box will have either a pretty piece of jewelry, a wine glass, a coffee cup, or a sweet treat (not pictured). Prefer one? Let us know.
