Banko is a complex, delicate, and immensely delicious heirloom Ethiopian coffee. In La Cascada, sweet chocolate and ripe apple are perfectly balanced. Which will be your new favorite?
August with the Black Oak Tasting Club is very exciting and *perfect* for making compare and contrast iced coffees. A stunning, fruity Ethiopian heirloom meets a smooth, balanced Honduran washed. Sidama Natural coffee opens with the unmistakable flavors of strawberries, blueberries, and cherries. Bright notes of green apple acidity mellowed by nougaty sweetness dominate the initial flavor profile of Los Niños.
An amazing single origin from Chiapas produced by 100% Female Owned Farms meets a Brazilian coffee with a rich full flavor. Cacao flavor dominates the initial impression of Bella Vista, from Chiapas, Mexico, but is quickly joined by a caramel sweetness, and notes of red fruit. This exceptionally clean "Minas" from Brazil has a pleasing, round mouthfeel with nuanced flavors of milk chocolate, hazelnut, with hints of dried fruit. This is an extremely delicious coffee.
Two beautiful coffees from Africa feature and make for incredible tasting comparing/contrasting. Dukunde Natural, from Rwanda opens with unmistakable flavors of strawberries, blueberries & chocolate. As the taste lingers, strawberry fades into banana, mixes with the heavy chocolate body into something truly amazing. Kivu from DR Congo opens with a plum-like acidity and an overwhelming amount of the complex, subtle floral, sweetness of a dark amber honey.
