Little Confused on curation

Did a 3 month subscription. Expected it to be curated to the fact that subscription was for a girl but lead first month with two strong male characters and more masculine themed books. Books were good in general section though.

This box featured the Coretta Scott King award winning book Before the Ever After by National Book Award winner Jacqueline Woodson, and Genius Camp, by The New York Times bestselling author Chris Grabenstein (Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library). While both books featured main male characters, we think the themes of the books, like coping with the change of a parent's mental health or recognizing the addictive nature of technology, are applicable, important, and helpful to any child, and we think both titles make excellent additions to a child's home library. My aunt got a Bookroo subscription for my daughter last year as a gift. I never knew how much I would love it myself! The package is beautiful and when we both see it, we get so excited. The books are individually wrapped which leads to the excitement and the gift of the book and the gift of reading itself. My aunt has extended our subscription and now I am buying subscriptions for nieces and nephews. It's a great gift for kids and has made my daughter love reading as much as I do.

Bookroo customer service is amazing! I needed my first 12-month shipment to be sent to my home address instead of who I am gifting this subscription to and Jane made this process so easy and seamless. I also needed a specific ship date and she was able to make that happen for me as well. I am so looking forward to gifting this subscription to my twin nephews!

I have been a loyal Bookroo customer for four years. The yearly subscriptions are perfect gifts for my two grandchildren. They’ve received picture books and chapter books and now we’re excited to try the middle grade chapter books for my ten year old grandson. The book selections are varied and many are books we wouldn’t come across if we were looking on our own. The kids love getting a box in the mail each month that’s just for them. And the staff have been wonderful to work with when I’ve had questions of needed to make changes.

You guys are just mean. I paid for an age appropriate subscription for my 7 year old boy. They sent us baby books. BABY BOOKS WITH AGE SPECIFICATIONS. The other book was extremely over the top girly. You refused to exchange or refund. Then billed more and sent more books I didn't order. Pretty mean! My kid and I have been through it and I was trying to do something nice for him to motivate his learning. All the trash you make wrapping cheap books that are 100% not curated. I paid for a curated subscription that is specifically for a specific age group. I did not receive what I paid for. That's literally against the law. And just mean! I was nice! Trying to make it work out! Can't believe it!!! On top of that, one of the baby books... because there were more than one... was psychotic. I still want my money back :(

So many good things to say about Bookroo! I wanted to order a gift subscription for my soon to arrive grandson. Because I live in another state, I wanted a gift that would help close that gap. By mistake I neglected to select the "gift" option. I contacted customer service and Shelisa was prompt, kind, thorough and so helpful in getting the change taken care of. The books arrived last week and my daughter says the books are so great. She and her husband declared that this subscription was the best gift they've received! Thank you Bookroo!

If I could give Bookroo 10 stars I would! The product, the customer service, EVERYTHING is top notch. I ordered a 6 month gift subscription of board books for a 1 year old and they have been fantastic. He absolutely loves them (and has several favorites) and his parents are thrilled with them as well! I HIGHLY recommend Bookroo, you will not be disappointed.

We have been looking forward to our Bookroo box every month for a few years. The books are delightful and have become some of our favorites. Most we have never seen in stores. We started with board books and eventually switched to picture books. Now that we have a toddler again we have switched to alternate between board books and picture books. We love the options!

my children love these books. their books are the ones that you wouldn't find in the bookstores - they are unique. when they arrive my girls recognize the box and immediately go into scream mode.
icing on the cake, customer service is the best. when I asked to change my subscription to alternate board and picture books, they took care of it right away.

I could not recommend Bookroo more highly. The books are consistently wonderful, engaging books that my kids who are now 4 and 1.5 have loved. I find that having a monthly delivery of new books keeps us all engaged in reading frequently. I don’t have the time to research and find new books myself and when I have they were hit or miss whereas the Bookroo books are a 90% hit with my kids. The topics are varied and I’m amazed by how some random books I would have never chosen have become our favorites. Bookroo grew with us too, first the board books and now longer stories. Best investment you can make in quality time with your kids. I first started with Bookroo when it was gifted to me and have now stuck with it for 4 years. LOVE it!!!
