Hello Pat -
We ship the 4th of each month, so they are currently in the queue to start Nov 4th (with shipping they generally arrive 5-7 days after).
If you'd like me to adjust the subscriptions to start Dec 4th, or even Jan 4th I can do that instead. Some people prefer they start showing up after the holiday rush and they gift a card and our branded PDF to let the girl(s) know whats on the way. Ive emailed that PDF to you so you have it, and just reply to my email to let me know when you'd like their subscriptions to start! Thanks so much.

Hello - yes we try to provide a variety of items – boxes will occasionally include crafts but I wouldn't say that is the focus.
