Q: I want a refund that box was horrible and I don't want another Asked by Stephanie L., March 2021
Hi Stephanie, we are sorry to hear that and have addressed the matter with you directly. Thanks for reaching out!
Q: Merry Meet! I am looking for a subscription box that is vegan and animal cruelty free. I have ordered several boxes without asking, and have been saddened that both used animal products. Would just like to be sure before I buy this time.Asked by Thia K., June 2019
Merry Meet Thia! We carefully select items that are cruelty-free and
eco-friendly whenever possible. Very rarely do we include items made with
animal by-products.
If you want to go beyond spiritual boxes: Take a look at Earthlove. There's an eclectic mix of products, a book each box (quarterly) several of which have concentrated on animal issues, and a choice of vegan or beegan (the only animal products come from bees - honey or beeswax).
You can request that no animal products be used in your bos. when you order, you can email or contact them and say that you do not want any animal products in the box. Their customer service team is very accomodating.
Q: Hi, I'm a secret witch, is there a possibility to get this box but have the outside cover be discreet?Asked by Oriyan Y., July 2020
Greetings! All of our subscription boxes arrive discreetly packaged inside a USPS Flat Rate envelope for our Circle Member's privacy.
Q: I would like to cancel my subscription. How would I do that?Asked by Teresa J., April 2021
Greetings Teresa! You can manage your membership from the "Subscriptions" tab on the Cratejoy Account page.
I've been a practicing witch for 26 years, so I've seen, heard, read or done most stuff. This box was a nice collection of items that actually ended up being very fitting for my current situation at home. It was nice to get some new energy flowing, and I got a book I've never heard of, so that makes me happy too!
It’s just perfect for me. It teaches me new things and replenishes my tools! It also always seems to arrive when I need a pick me up. The items are always unique, informative and inspiring.
Love this SUBSCRIPTION, I get the supreme box and love the items I get.
I would not get this box again. I got the Priestess tier, meaning the middle of the 3 options.
- The items themselves were *fine*. Nothing special.
-4 Tea lights candles
- 1 Lammas soy candle (2 oz)
- Yerba Santa bundle
- 1 Citrine bracelet which was kind of nice
- 1 book I've never heard of but will probably read.
- A brief spell outline for Lammas
With a generous estimate on prices, this comes up to WELL below what I paid. The theme was vague but ok.
I'd recommend this if you are a total newbie and have money to burn. I've heard better reviews from the 3rd (top) tier, but that is much too expensive to risk. There are other boxes I LOVE that do not have the same problems.
Bought this as a gift for my daughter. She loved it so much, I ordered her another for October!
She said there was a decent amount of useful tools and herbs. A great spell for winter, with a nice little inspiration & tip page.
So happy to hear that she enjoyed her September box. Blessed Be!
I love almost every item in this months box except for the book but that's always a gamble. They also forgot to put the raw moonstone in ashwell but it happens. Cant wait till next months box.
I had a subscription to this box a year or two ago and had to cancel due to financial reasons. We are back on track and I decided to test out a few subscriptions and resubscribe to Box of Shadows. My first box back in and I couldn't be happier! It was better than I remember. I used to unbox these on YouTube and maybe I will again someday but for now Im simply enjoying the pretty things that I have received. I hope that one day I will be able to upgrade my subscription!
Greetings Christine! Welcome back to the Circle and thank you for sharing your experience. We are so blessed to be a continued part of your practice.
Had this box subscription for about a year and am always so happy with what I get!!!
Update: Nov 2020
I cannot say enough good things about the Priestess level of Box of Shadows. It's informing and supporting my magical and pagan practice. I couldn't afford to continue all the subscription boxes I had, but I kept this one. It's that good. It fills both my self-care and spiritual needs.
I subscribed to the Priestess Box, and I have to say I am surprised each time. I love it. From the well-written newsletter that includes lore, rituals, spells, and sometimes recipes, to the beautiful and interesting variations of incense and useful objects. I am never disappointed, and always learning.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Joanne. We hope to remain a part of your practice. Blessed Be!
I bought my first box and i absolutely love it. The products were amazing. I will definitely be getting more!! There was a great assortment of goodies in the box, all of it was stuff I didnt already have in my collection yet.
In the age of the internet, we are all plugged in 24/7, communicating at an unprecedented pace. Mercury, the planet that rules communication and travel, is constantly working overtime to keep up. When this planet goes "retrograde" it often causes a stir in the astrology world causing many to fear these transits. With Mercury also ruling our thoughts and ideas, retrograde periods can feel challenging. The May box will assist in navigating this, often disorienting event.
Beltane, the cross-quarter fire festival, takes place directly between the Spring and Summer Equinoxes and opposite Samhain on the Witches’ calendar. This sabbat presents an opportunity to spark the flames of passion and put all those plans we’ve been making since Imbolc into action.✨
While we wait for the last of winter's frost to yield, new seedlings sit in our windowsill, anxious to grow and thrive. This is an exciting time of the year! Nothing compares to the feeling of planting seeds of manifestation and nurturing them into fruition. In the March Box of Shadows, we will discuss the mysticism behind sowing seeds of all kinds into our lives and learn how to nurture our dreams into fruition. ✨
Wondering what the deal is with love magic? Interested in finding some love? Or keeping it close? February’s Box of Shadows is all about matters of the heart and the folklore & magic surrounding this most sought after work.
a·wak·en·ing: a recognition, realization, or coming into awareness. Usually occurring when we have, quite literally, "woken" our minds and spirits from a slumber we often didn't even know we were in. As we enter this new calendar year, welcome back the light, and look towards Imbolc, we will explore re-awakening parts of ourselves that may have gone dormant during the cold of winter and how to rekindle them just in time for the next turn of the Wheel.
Yule, which takes place every year on the winter solstice, is the shortest day of the year. Though Yule marks the official beginning of winter, it is also the time when the days begin to grow longer. Many traditions consider this time to be the rebirth of the sun and a celebration of light; a time for reflection, resolution, and renewal. The December box will guide our Circle members through this season of light and show how light can be found even when times are dark.
A lot of people come to paganism because secular religion doesn't give them an actionable way to transform their lives outside of faith and prayer. Many others recognize the synchronicities they are often able to produce by simply thinking about something. Either way, we find ourselves looking to learn the art of taking our lives into our own hands. November's box seeks to teach members to recognize synchronicity, trust our intuition, and create rituals that work.
Our most anticipated box of the year is available now! Samhain, known as The Witches' New Year, is celebrated October 31st. This is the time of the year when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, and we pause to honor our ancestors. This box will take Initiates through the basics of this sabbat, Priestess members will dive deep into working with the energy of the season, while Supreme seekers will contemplate the lessons of this year and how they shape the next.
