I've been a customer since the beginning. I love the all-in-one monthly boxes. I've collected every box released but until this year, I never completed any. Completing a box by myself seemed impossible so I never tried. lol But now I have monthly murder mystery nights with my friends and we have a huge collection to choose from so we're never bored. DMS boxes are a great way to spend a Saturday night with friends. Highly recommend DMS over all the other subscription boxes.
Thank you so much for the recommendation, Amanda! We really appreciate it and if you ever get stuck on anything that feels impossible to you, feel free to reach out on the Deadbolt Mystery Society Hint Group on Facebook or go to the Hint files located on our website.
My partner and I subscribe to the monthly mystery boxes and absolutely love everything about them. We are thinking of branching out to some of the one time boxes next.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, Simon! We really appreciate it :)
We love these boxes! Many of the boxes are totally different and unique, like 80s themed, carnival themed, etc. We have played with 2 people all the way up to 5-6 and it's always fun. Some of the puzzles are easier if you write directly on the pages; we found that clear page protectors and wet erase markers work perfectly to keep the originals blank! That way we can give the box away when we're done with it.
Thanks for the review, Leyna, and for pointing out the wide variety of box themes we have available! We truly have something for everyone!
These are my favorite mystery boxes! The stories are engaging. The puzzles are challenging. I enjoy them by myself and with my husband. I've been trying to get my kids to come over for a game night, but they haven't made it yet. I tried one of their one-time bundles, first. Loved them so much, I subscribed, AND went back and purchased all of the one-time boxes they had available. In the last order, I picked up a mini-mystery to see if I like those. Deadbolt Mystery Society provides a few fun hours of entertainment and works your mental muscles! Thanks for helping me guard against dementia. Seriously!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Stacey! We hope you can get your kids over soon for a fun family game night!
Bought a 3-month subscription for my husband for Christmas.
He loves it.
Just went on and ordered a 6-month subscription.
Highly recommend for someone who likes escape rooms.
Thanks for the recommendation, Jamie! Glad that your husband has enjoyed the boxes so much!
I came across DMS while searching for a decent puzzle mystery subscription box. It looked good so I ordered. One of the best decisions I have made. Each box is unique, subversive and challenging. With 35 boxes under my belt and counting, I have yet to loose interest, and doubt I ever will. Way to go DMS. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, James! We really appreciate your enthusiasm and support!
I only found Deadbolt Mystery Society last month and completed my first box. I just wished I knew about this company sooner! I love the engaging storylines, props, and materials that come in the box. I also loved doing the Advent Calendar puzzles last month online. I am a new subscriber and I am doing my best to get all past boxes because I loved my first box so much. Looking forward to future boxes!
Thank you so much for the kind words, Jennifer. Don't forget to keep an eye on our social media pages, as we announce there whenever one of our past boxes is getting a reprint!
