Unfortunately, 0-2 years old are usually board books and we are not offering a subscription of board books at this time.

Yes you can pick the age group. I wasn't sure which level my granddaughter would be at. I contacted the owners via their site and they were so helpful. You can always change age level or genre as long as you let them know before the next shipment. If it's going to another address, you should the cancel one you don't want and start a new subscription for the new address. Just make sure to cancel before they make the...

Q: The pathway at the top of the website says that Dog Eared Book are under science fiction and fantasy. Are the books always science fiction and fantasy? I want books that are in a range of genres. I'm ordering hardcover books for a girl that is going into 4th grade. Asked by Terri B., May 2019

If I could put more stars for curation I would! I've received many books with this subscription but am including a picture of some of my favorites. You get a great mix of books with varying themes and characters, you get classics and books you've never heard of (discovered new gems this way), and you can tell the selection is chosen thoughtfully. Even though the books are used, they're in great condition. I've always received my shipment on time and have been very happy with the whole process. It's a very affordable way to own and explore books. I'll definitely be renewing when we need to spice up our library collection again.

During quarantine, we joined the Dog-Eared Books subscription through Crate Joy.
Our first box was great but the books were a bit too old for my toddler. I emailed Dog-Eared Books and they said they would keep that in mind.
This is our new box and it is PERFECT! They definitely remembered (awesome!!) and we got amazing books in near perfect condition. What great choices! I can’t believe how much we get, and the condition, for the price.

The books were in good condition and there was a good variety for both my kids. My kids have been apart of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for some time now, so I was shocked to see 75% of the books I received had come from that free program. Main reason we have decided to cancel our subscription.
