The cake was delicious and really easy to make. The directions were really easy to read and follow. I like that each step had everything separated out (so step 3 and step 5 both used flour but had their own bags for each step), and I guess all the little bags and containers can be recycled. My vanilla also spilled out of the containers, but it wasn't a lot. Still plenty to work with. My cinnamon layer sunk to the bottom but that is my own fault. Overall a good box!

So glad you enjoyed your cake! We're terribly sorry to hear your vanilla spilled too. We have remedy this problem and don't anticipate it being a problem in the future. Yes, all the bags are recyclable. If your town doesn't take recycle, most grocery store will take them in the same bins that you can recycle bread and grocery bags. The jars can also be recycled or washed by hand and reused for small things.

I really loved my box! The coffee cake came out amazing and the instructions and video were easy for new baker like me to follow. I wish the recipe cards told me the quantity of the ingredients to make it easier to remake - which i will definitely do bc it tasted AMAZING. I measured the ingredients and wrote it down.

All the packaging we use in our boxes is recyclable. For the plastic bags, most grocery stores accept them if your regular recycling doesn't. You can find somewhere close to you by visiting the Plastic Film Recycling website. The small plastic containers are also recyclable in you regular recycling or can be be washed out and used to your liking. The cardboard shipping box is also recyclable. We are very conscious of our business footprint.
We are working on providing recipes so you may remake all our selected desserts.

Overall I think this box will be great. I like that the instructions are written well, the ingredients are all measured out, and it is smooch fun to do with my kids. The only issue I have with this specific months box is not everyone has a food processor so making this items was difficult for us. A suggestion that others have also mentioned, is they should put all the measurements on the instructions so we could make the item again if we wanted to.
Updating to talk about December's box:
This is now what I was looking for. The receipt is great. I really like that they have all ingredients with measurements on one side and the directions on another side of a great card that I can reuse. I am also thankful they put liquids in a container than in a bag because my vanilla was all over the place when I opened the box. I was still able to use it due to the second bag to contain it.

Disappointed in my first box, not sure if my expectation was correct, but this seemed very basic, for a beginner. Product wasn't very tasty, the pound cake was bland and very dense, I would have rather just drank the cider straight. Liquid (other than the bottle of cider) spilled, was contained in the plastic bag, but still messy. Will see what the 2nd box brings, it may be that the first month I got didn't suit me.

I enjoyed my first box. The sweet potato coffee cake was absolutely delicious. It was gone quickly! The recipe was so easy to follow that it would be hard to mess up. The ingredients were clearly labeled and well packaged. The package was very organized to withstand shipping and handling. One small issue (this is why the shipping received 4 stars) is the vanilla leaked. Thank goodness the vanilla was in a small plastic bag to prevent the entire package from being spoiled with vanilla. What I liked about this baking experience is you do not have to use a lot of additional ingredients, which is very economical in my opinion as I received expensive baking kits in the past from other companies that required 4-6 eggs, 2 sticks butter, or hard to find ingredients, which unnecessarily increased the overall cost of the baking kit. This first of three curated baking kit met my expectations with the baking quality and overall cost!
