I bought a 3-month subscription for my husband who had yet to find a cocktail he liked. The first month he was excited because it was ginger beer based. When the second box arrived at first he was like "you got another one?" So I told him we could give it away. When he opened the box he shreaked with excitement and said "no, we're keeping this one!" When the third month arrived he was super excited to see what adventures were in store; zero complaints. With an 18-month old at home, this box replaces us going out to the bar, so the cost is very affordable. The boxes are also great to take with to friends house or home for the holidays. The boxes are always filled with one or two unexpected finds! The bar supplies have been helpful too. You can also tell a lot of thought goes into the packaging; it's clear they are passionate about their work. It's a good excuse to try some drinks outside your typical comfort zone. Lol. Can you tell I like the boxes!?
I've never really had a knack putting drinks together, but Elixir and Co's subscription box will truly make you feel like the ultimate mixologist!
The ingredients I found within my January subscription box went so well together. I especially enjoyed the Whiskey Sour. 😋 It was so flavorful.
The box was definitely wrapped with love. I found everything to be perfectly in place, which caused me to take a ridiculous amount of pictures to share with friends. I will definitely be returning for next months subscription box!
I would definitely recommend this subscription box! 👍🏽
The shandy cocktail was delicious and fun to make. We had enough syrup and ginger to make more later since it was easy to get the limes and club soda. We also loved the cute coasters we got.
The cards referred to Blue Moon as an IPA which makes us think these people have no idea what they are talking about. Blue Moon is about as far from an IPA as you can get! With $7.99 shipping and handling it’s a bit overpriced.
Overall we are going to give it a few months and not decide on the first round.
We really liked the first shipment that we received, but we were charged for a second shipment several weeks ago and we have yet to receive it. I’ve contacted the seller via the crate joy site and I have yet to hear back.
Other reviewers seem happy so I placed an order on 10/2 and have gotten zero info or product. Their policy says the first box ships in 5-7 calendar days. I have emailed the company (Elixir & Co) twice and gotten no responses. Their website is full of broken links (and none of them are for customer support or help... non-existent). I'm about to call my credit card company and reverse the charge as fraudulent. Buyer beware.
