This will be your starting box if you order in September or October! In this eerie, yet family friendly escape adventure, we are sending you back in time to the town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia in the year 1967. A strange creature known as the Mothman has been seen in the skies, attempting to pass on a dire message to you. You need to search an abandoned cabin in the woods and an underground tunnel to uncover all of the secrets of the creature in time.
Order by October 31st to get this box!
Q: Can you play Escape the Crate more than once?Asked by Ashley E., April 2019
You can definitely replay the game, but it comes out the same way each time.
Q: Hiya. I was wondering if you had any information on shipping costs to the UK? Many thanks. Asked by Nilima R., July 2019
We most certainly ship to the UK and our rate is $15.95 USD. Unfortunately due to the size and the weight of our boxes, this is the best rate available while shipping to Europe. Thanks and have a great week!
Q: can this be played with 1 person? or how many do you need?Asked by Shan B., July 2019
We recommend our games for 2-4 players, however they can be played in groups as large as 6 comfortably.... as long as everyone is able to sit closely together around a table to see everything. They also can most certainly be played solo, unlike most escape rooms. We have hints for each puzzle to help push you along the way if you play by yourself, but since our website runs the game, none of the puzzles are spoiled by playing solo. Happy escapes!
Q: I needed the escape crate to arrive before 10/5. I am willing to pay expedited shipping if needed! Thanks Asked by Shenelle S., September 2019
Thanks for your question! Our October box will be going out around that time, but it might be cutting it very close. If you email us by clicking the “contact seller” button on this page, we will be happy to ship out one of our earlier games right away so that it arrives in time.
If you want to have a great activity to do where you solve puzzles and work together - this is really a lot of fun. We started out planning to do it within an hour - two adults and 3 teens. We chose expert level because we think we are really smart. 3 hours later we solved it. You can definitely do this in under an hour because there are hints all along the way so you don’t have to ever stay stuck. This was such fun. We can’t wait for our next crate!!!
My husband and I decided to subscribe to Escape The Crate. We received the Murder in The Forgotten Tomb and we escaped within 2 hours 20 minutes (it’s definitely not impressive! 🤣) but we sure had lots of fun with the puzzles and codes. We love going to escape rooms and this crate gave us the same experience as of those physical ones. Can’t wait for the next one! Highly recommended!
SO MUCH FUN! Great story, directions and the fact that we can pass it along to our family or kids is awesome!!! Can't wait for our next one.
We look forward to receiving each box. Some puzzles are easy while others take more time to figure out. There are hints available if you get stuck, or to verify you are on the right track. It is a great way to stay in for date night or family night. The only thing I can think of to make it better would be to have it available monthly because we enjoy it so much.
Escape the Crate is incredible. The production value, the feel of being in an escape room, the amount of content, the labor that must go into creating each box... It is absolutely worth the cost. I'm continually impressed with the creativity that goes into making each box unique. And the fact that they made them reusable is an added bonus. I love this product. Could not recommend more highly.
Bought this as a whim and thought I would give it a shot. It was very well done. Good story, unique puzzles, a nice hint system to help keep me in check, and the box itself was a part of the game. I like how you can reset the game afterwards and pass it off to friends.
Just finished playing a box at a friend's place and all I can say is WOW! It was just like an actual escape room. There were a lot of puzzles to do, which was a good thing and I liked how we could stop playing for a bit and come back in later. There also were buttons to push for the computer to read things aloud as we played, which was good because it was hard to hear some people reading too quickly. I just signed up myself for the next one!
