We’ve subscribed to this set for nearly a year and it’s been a huge hit in our house. Our daughter started when she was 6 and is now 7. She’s usually occupied with each kit for a couple days in thirty minute blocks, digging and organizing. She’s still young, so she’s not yet as interested in the wonderful, informative cards and resources the kits include. But she carefully stores the specimens and binder pages away, so she’ll have them later if she gets interested in them. The variety is great, and she always finds a lot of things. Very creative and fun kit! We also subscribe to building and art kits, and this one adds great variety. Shopping has always been totally reliable. Our daughter likes sensory stimulation too, and this keeps her really engaged and focused.
This is so much fun! My 9-year-old son loved his first box. It was just the right mix of challenging (to dig the gems out of the hard sand) and simple to understand. We're looking forward to doing this together each month. Thank you!
The shipping was fast and it was really fun checking everything out!
My 4 year old loves rocks, and loves this box. I did have to soak the dirt in water, because it was a bit too hard for him to work with the tools and the sand. I rinsed the sand threw a strainer when finished, we found many tiny rocks that could have been missed.
This box was great and my 6 yo LOVED excavating and then categorizing the gems. The box came quickly and included everything that we needed to excavate and identify the rocks.
I set this subscription up several weeks ago and nothing was ever sent. It's stuck in this almost ready to ship mode since the first week of August, we're now into September. I gifted this box to my nephew for his August birthday and now I have told him his gift in on the way several times. I reached out to the seller with no response. Very dissatisfied with this service.
First of all my sincerest apologies for any issues and I would love to assist immediately. I also apologize as I have no record of a communication regarding this issue. When I check the shipment tracking, it says the packaged was delivered on the Front Porch/Doorstep of the recipient on August 10 at 10:37 am. I will follow up with you via email to see what we can do to rectify this issue.
