Q: What's the difference between the Fulton Faves boxes and the other boxes?Asked by Crystal C., September 2020
We offer two types of boxes, ones where we curate the fish or ones where you select the fish (Fulton Faves). For boxes that we curate, the fish is selected that morning from the best Catch of the Day at Fulton Fish Market. That means you won't know ahead of time what you're receiving, but we promise it will be delicious and we'll also send an email with info about the fish and how to cook it. This means you'll get ample variety and explore new seafood! If you'd like to go on a seafood adventure with us, look for the following boxes:
Try Em All (Finfish Only or Finfish & Shellfish) - our most popular box!
Just For Me & You - for smaller households
Mostly Shellfish...
Q: Are the shrimp peeled and deveined?Asked by Prachiti P., October 2020
These are head-off, shell-on Gulf shrimp, so you would have to peel and devein them. I know, this is a pain! But I do think it's worth it because these are never frozen, US wild caught, and haven't been treated with sodium tripolyphosphate. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I really like this concierge approach to dinner, where Fulton Fish Market helps pick fish for you and you get to try something new. We have already recommended it to friends. Also, I appreciate the good, personal customer service. Thanks for helping fresh fish to Indiana!
This box featured wild Pacific Halibut from California, and wild monkfish from Long Island. Halibut's meat is sweet and mild, with large flakes when cooked. If you enjoy Fluke, Flounder and Turbot, you’ll love it! As for monkfish, appearances can be deceiving--many compare it to Lobster, the tail yielding a dense, firm and boneless meat, with a mild, sweet taste. In this box, you'll receive 8 portions of fish fillets, 4 from each fish.
Our Intro to Seafood box for August 2020 included Atlantic Cod and Black Sea Bass, both landed in MA. It’s no wonder Atlantic Cod is one of the most popular seawater fish. Its lean, flaky yet somewhat dense flesh is mild but distinctive in flavor. Meanwhile, Black Sea Bass is legendary for its delicate flavor, moderately firm texture and small white flakes. That makes it a favorite for anyone who enjoys Sea Trout, Spot and Snapper.
Our Just For Me and You box featured Hake from MA and Swordfish from NC in August. A long time New England favorite, the flavor of Hake is very similar to that of Cod and Haddock, with a slightly milder and subtly sweet flavor. The Swordfish is named for its long, sword-like beak, which it uses to slice fish. It has a mildly sweet flavor and a moist, meaty texture. Folks who like the taste of Yellowfin Tuna are sure to love Swordfish.
