I've tried multiple methods of uploading and emailing photos and my mom has yet to receive and photos or notes with her THREE boxes thus far. I emailed the company and was told they're having problems due to covid, okay but like, solutions? Customer service? Anything, guys?
Highly don't recommend.
We ordered a 6 month subscription then my parents (grandparents) asked us to cancel because they didn’t feel it was worth our money. I wasn’t disappointed because every month I had issues uploading photos and logging into my account. The website was poorly built. When I went to cancel the cancel button returned an error. I tried emailing. I tried the chat service. I tried to find a number to call. Then I got charged for 6 month renewal because it was taking so long to get anyone to reply. Finally, I was told they would not refund my money but instead donate my boxes. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I had been taking screenshots to show when I had initially tried canceling and the dates of all my attempted tries to communicate with the company. Do not use this service it’s a waste of money and your time!!
Nothing in the crate appealed to my 76 year old mother.
My grandparents wanted to defer their box until March, as they are not home right now. I tried to manage my subscription for them on Grandbox’s website, but was unsuccessful. Then I tried to get support through the online chat feature, and they were unable to defer my subscription. They said I would receive an email to manage my subscription by myself, but that email never came. That’s when I tried to contact Grandbox through the customer service email listed in their emails. That was also unsuccessful. I would have called, but no phone number is listed on Cratejoy or Grandbox websites. I am so dissatisfied with the customer service of both companies. First, I was unable to manage my subscription by myself. Second, they didn’t follow through on something they said they would do. Third, all of my efforts to contact the company were ignored. I don’t even care about my original objective anymore, all I want is the courtesy of a response.
I had trouble getting confirmation so ended up with 3 orders by mistake through GrandBox. I had a successful order for a Grandbox through Cratejoy. GrandBox only refunded 2 of the 3 orders, Cratejoy was no help.
I am very disappointing in this company. I purchased a three month subscription for an elderly friend. My friend enjoyed the boxes but asked that I not renew the subscription. For whatever reason I could not cancel/manage the subscription from my account. I contacted the support services, explained the situation and made clear that I would like to cancel the subscription. Instead of cancelling the subscription or fixing my account so that I can cancel it the company keeps suggesting things (e.g. difference dietary preferences). I feel this is a bit of a scam. To date this is still not resolved. I would be cautious doing business with this company.
I love far from my grandmother and always wanted to send her treats to make her feel special. She absolutely loves the special packages as she says she feels like I am spoiling her! She loves the photos and the activity books that she gets. She also has visitors who frequent her home and its nice to have treats to share with them or new photos to show off. This box is a total win and a great idea!
My mother who is a new grandmother, loves this box with all her heart. She loves the little themes, the photos that come with it, and the fact that it comes once a month.
