Q: Do you need to have a sewing machine? And can a never before really sewn anything person reasonably do this? Asked by Miranda O., January 2021
Yes, you will need to have a basic sewing machine to complete the projects. We do recommend you have a basic level of sewing - able to thread your machine, sew a curve, switch between straight and zig zag stitches, and a few basic projects completed before signing up.
Q: Hi! Are physical patterns included or do you have to download and print yourself?Asked by Taylor W., October 2021
Hi Taylor! The patterns are PDF digital patterns from independent sewing pattern designers. You will need to download the patterns and instructions; however, we do include the large format physical print of the pattern pieces, so you will not need to print anything!
Q: I received February’s box as a trial. I love the pattern and materials, but I didn’t have a code to download the instructions. How can I obtain a code for instructions?Asked by Kimberley S., February 2021

Q: Will there always be a size 0 option on the sizes of clothing pieces to be made?Asked by Katie H., November 2020
Hi Katie -
Thank you for your question! The patterns we choose are size-inclusive and fit measurements xxs-3XL or larger. The XXS size typically is based on measurements: 29" full bust, 24" waist, 34" full hip.
These measurements do vary between designers, so this is an average of the last 5 of our featured designers' smallest sizes. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out!

I just wanted to try this box out since I'm a beginner at sewing but after my first project, I was hooked!! The sew-a-long videos have really taught me some great things that I would have never been brave enough to try on my own. I've found so many patterns that I love, and love it that everything I need for that project comes in the box, including some fun extras! I also love the FaceBook page, it feels like I'm part of a club.

Dont hesitate to subscribe to Indiestitch! During this pandemic it was such a bright light to get the "you have a package on the way" from Indiestitch. The patterns were trendy, fun, and there were options for beginner to advanced techniques depending on the version you chose to put together. Generous amounts of fabric have allowed me to not only sew up the monthly pattern but usually get additional sews from what I had left over. Good quality fabrics as well as fun extras arrive each month. I regularly use every single thing that was sent! I'm a novice sewer so I was really hesitant to sign up for this subscription, but is really exceeded my expectations! The materials in my box was great quality and there was a very generous amount. There were a few fun surprises tucked in as well, which I really found to be thoughtful. I think one of the best aspects of this subscription is the tutorial videos that walk you through how to put the pattern together. I've never sewn clothes before so I was really nervous to get started, the videos were really helpful. The pattern in the box wasn't quite my style, but after watching the videos I was able to adapt it a bit and make an item that I really love. This is a really fun way to learn a new skill, I'm really looking forward to future boxes!
