Q: I would love to purchase this for my 11 year old avid reader, but worried that he will receive many books he as already read. Is there a way to preview/customize your box before it ships?Asked by Alison W., December 2019
Hi Alison - since our boxes are uniquely customized for each child there is
not a preview option. However, we have not had a problem with subscribers
receiving many duplicate books. This is because you can list a few of the
books your son has read on the questionnaire when you subscribe. We then
select similar new books and lesser known titles. In the rare occasion you
would receive a duplicate, just email us a picture of you donating that
book to a library and we’ll issue you a $5 credit you can apply to your
next order.

Thanks for your inquiry. There are multiple options. You could subscribe once and ask that the 4 books cover the range of 10 months to 7 years. We would then ship out a board book, one or two picture books, and an early chapter book for your 7-year-old. You could also purchase a subscription for each child or two subscriptions again asking the books be split between the three ages. At Kid Curated Books, we work with you to find the best option for your children.

If you are like me and want to create a passion for love of reading for your child... but aren’t exactly sure where to start
then Kids Curated Books is for you. We have spent much time at the library trying to find books and especially chapter books for my 10 year old. None seemed very appetizing for my son. Due to spending more time at home and not having access to books as we used to, I was at loss in which direction I should go. So we gave Kids Curated Books a try. At first we started reading together, taking turns reading chapters. All of a sudden I saw the child was off on his own wanting to read more than my shared time would allow. This has been a great way to introduce books my child loves reading! An additional plus... they respond to emails and inquiries quickly so excellent customer service! We are on our second month now and super excited to see what will be in store for the future reads!

Let me cut to the chase - we love this book crate. I have ordered several book crates trying to find the perfect one. This fits the bill. It is full of books!!! The other crates we tried came with trinkets which frankly we have no use for. My 11 year old can doesn't need how to train your dragon stickers or anymore keychains!!! Plus, I have 2 boys and the other boxes seemed more geared towards girls.
I do not know how the company that put together these boxes, but they are spot on. You answer some questions about your child's reading level, age, and interests and they send the perfect books. And I can't believe how many they send! My son eagerly awaits each next box and spends hours in between reading, and re-reading, his new books.

We loved the books this month! We loved the "Joyful" book. It was perfect for the season as well as the snowman book. The snowman book could not have been more perfect for our daughter who absolutely loves ice cream (that is what the snowman gets at the end!). I also loved the chapter book about the animals who try and cause mischief and end up doing things that were nice. What a nice idea for kids! We have already read the entire book twice. It is nice to have new books to entertain our little one shipped to our house right now. Your subscription is set to renew on the 22nd of every month, and so it renewed on that same day. We will be sending out your second box within a week.
