Q: Hi. My Niece loves her first box, but I was wondering if the first box was ment to come with the aperon, hat, and book that you can add the stickers and recipies too?Asked by Sarah C., July 2022
Hi Sarah,
Thanks for reaching out, Cratejoy does not give us the option to include these items. Feel free to reach out to our customer service so we can accommodate you.
Shipping was fast, but wasteful; a few sheets of paper and one small tool in a box that was way oversized. The quality of the tool received is very basic and something I could have gotten at the Dollar Tree. The recipes included were for cupcakes and shrimp, which my kids aren't interested in making or eating. The only thing I can say in their defense is that I ordered this in somewhat of a hurry to take advantage of a promotional offer (still wasn't worth the cost) and didn't realize this included zero ingredients; it's literally a single tool and recipes that could have been found online. I should have read the entire description and ordered 6 months of something else. It remains disappointing.
We love Kidstir! I originally got it for my picky eater, to increase exposure to new foods. Well it has delivered 🙃 and more! My kiddo has come to love cooking, AND now he will independently go into the kitchen and make himself a “sushi sandwich” (from the April Fools box) with Turkey, carrot, and cucumber (read:VEGGIES). He tries everything we make. His favorite part is opening the box to find the new tool of the month. We especially loved the “manatea” for making mint tea! We used mint leaves from our garden. It was quite refreshing. We love the themes, and it has made for many special memories for the whole family. Highly recommend! (Hint: Not just for kids. Also teaches husbands how to make Mother’s Day brunch!)
We absolutely LOVE our Kidstir subscription! After receiving a subscription package as a Christmas gift for my daughter, we decided to continue the subscription for the whole year! Our favorite time of the month was reviving the Kidstir box in the mailbox. As a parent, I absolutely love the layout of the shopping & recipe cards. It teaches the fundamentals in a simple manner that my children can easily grasp. Not only do they learn how to read a recipe & cook, but they also learn & understand the prep that also goes into a meal. Each month a kitchen gadget or activity is included which helps teach new skills in the kitchen or through setting a table or involving socializing with the whole family at dinner. Even my three boys now race to see what fun is in our box! After completing an entire year of recipes in our Kidstir cookbook, we decided to subscribe again to a new season of recipes ❤️. We can’t wait to get back in the kitchens & see what new favorites will be included to our monthly meal roster! I HIGHLY recommend the Kidstir subscription box for your whole family!
’ve been a teacher for a virtual charting school for 15 years and I would recommend Kidstir for anybody, educator or not. They do a lot more than just their cooking kits. Every month they make new games and activities and in-depth curriculum based on their kits. I’ve been impressed by how this company connects food to any and every topic a kid would learn in school. Last month my kids learned all about Japan. This month they’re using their baking kit to learn math and science. They create their own homeschool lessons so you don’t have to look for the resources. I also love that there’s an online community for this product. You can ask anyone in their Facebook group for advice. There are moms and dads there who are also homeschooling and trying to figure out how to keep their kids creative and learning during this time.
My kids love Kidstir. The kids kitchen tools match the kit. Each kit has a theme. June’s theme was camping. There were burgers, grilled, veggies, and the dessert was banana splits in the peel. My son had so much fun making the meal for us. It was perfect for my nine year old.
We have been a part of Kidstir since September and we couldn't be happier with everything about it! My little one absolutely loves to bake, and this was the perfect gift for him. He is always so excited whenever that green box arrives for him. The recipes are easy to read, kid-friendly, straight-forward, and fun! We use these recipes all the time! The fact that each box comes with a new utensil that relates to the new recipes is absolutely genius. Kidstir is a 5 out of 5 all the way!
