A nice surprise -- I subscribed thinking these would be weathered, vintage books, but the book I received could be brand-new... Which is nice if you're looking for a surprise book in great condition! The book I received was an excellent choice for my reading preferences, but not one I'd heard of, so that was a fun surprise, too!
The tea is very tasty (I received blueberry herbal tea) and came in a super cute clear vial with cork stopper! I was pleased that the subscription process included choosing several specific genres, instead of just "adult" or "young adult" (like some other clubs). If you're someone like me who can't get enough good books and tea, give this club a try!
(P.S. The subscription plus shipping is less than the cover price of the book!)

Blue Spider Books, I appreciate that you sent the books in a weather proof envelope. I don't have a porch awning, so when mail is placed by my front door and then it rains... it makes me sad. But I enjoyed the coffee and have yet to try the loose leaf tea. Thank you for slipping in two empty tea bags to put the tea leaves inside. Very thoughtful. My first box was good. I received my second box and was really disappointed. I requested not to receive any sci-fi books and in 2 box’s received 3 books about the devil. Very scifi like books. I did get one that I wanted to read and then I realized it was the 4th book in a series and I’d have to go buy the other books before I could read the one I got. The “bookish” items where also 3 peices of paper. I got email asking how I liked my box and asking for a rate from the company blue spiders attic and gave them the one star and said exactly what I said above. They responded by sending me an email (which I didn’t expect as I’d rated them 3 stars last night and didn’t receive a reply) but in this reply they stated they would refund my money and for me to go find a new box to subscribe to. They canceled my subscription because I gave them a bad review on one out of 2 box’s. I was paid up for a 6 month subscription. That extremely rude and not gory business like. You don’t just cancel a customers subscription without asking them because you didn’t like their review on the product they paid for. The items in my box this month definitely did not value to the 27 or so dollars they say they put into each box.

Great subscription box of vintage books curated just for you! I received 3 books in my box and they were all in great condition (two were excellent and one had tiny bit of wear on the edge but still really great). I also got the bookish accessories and they were very nice too. I was a little on the fence about the theme, it was from a TV show and I don't watch TV, but if I just thought of it as being a western theme then that worked for me. The quote on the artwork was perfect - loved it and I wouldn't have know it and the other items were from a show if I wasn't told and the coffee sample was great. Very happy with my box and once I read a few of the books on my shelf I will order again. Also the quality of the books was nice enough that you could be comfortable giving as a gift.

There is always a intriguing theme with items& tea/coffee to pull us into the worlds of reading books. I got one that was all steampunk & another around sea/mermaids - wonderful! The books are excellent, too! They come individually 3 bagged so each book is another surprise to open! The books are in reusable or recyclable cute paper bags, I reused some as gift wrapping I like the print so much. - plus the books are used but like new, so ecologically this is awesome.
