Just ok books, fantastic add ins

First of all I loved the extra products they came with the box! Coffee is tasty, candles are fantastic, and I have been happy with all of that. Packaging is perfect, and none of the items have been damaged. Underwhelmed with the books though, I was hoping for more classics and story type books, but received an older published book by an author that I had never heard of and more of a reference type book. So overall it wasn’t for me, but others may like it.

Great name brand book but it’s not worth the price with shipping unless it’s at least 2 books. One used horror book I can get at the used book store for $3. Used books there should be at least 2-3 books each month

My first box was good. I received my second box and was really disappointed. I requested not to receive any sci-fi books and in 2 box’s received 3 books about the devil. Very scifi like books. I did get one that I wanted to read and then I realized it was the 4th book in a series and I’d have to go buy the other books before I could read the one I got. The “bookish” items where also 3 peices of paper. I got email asking how I liked my box and asking for a rate from the company blue spiders attic and gave them the one star and said exactly what I said above. They responded by sending me an email (which I didn’t expect as I’d rated them 3 stars last night and didn’t receive a reply) but in this reply they stated they would refund my money and for me to go find a new box to subscribe to. They canceled my subscription because I gave them a bad review on one out of 2 box’s. I was paid up for a 6 month subscription. That extremely rude and not gory business like. You don’t just cancel a customers subscription without asking them because you didn’t like their review on the product they paid for. The items in my box this month definitely did not value to the 27 or so dollars they say they put into each box.

I got the February Heart of Winter box. I was really excited about getting three books, all personally selected for me. The price is definitely right for the amount included. The magnetic bookmarks and heart shaped paperclips were adorable and of very good quality. The coaster and the little candies seemed like cheap additions, but that's not a big deal. Everything was wrapped very nicely and the packaging was cute. And great coffee!! I was however a little disappointed by the book selections... they aren't bad books, but they are not what I was hoping for. Not sure if this was my mistake filling out the survey or if the curators just made mediocre choices, but I wasn't impressed. Only 1 out of the 3 books felt like the genre I asked for... the other two were kindof random in my opinion. Not sure if I will give it another try or not.
