I don’t know who wrote the 5 star reviews but I just got my first box and was dumbfounded at how cheap it was. $90 for 3 months = $30/month.
In the box was a charcoal pencil set that sells for under $5 on Amazon. Two of 5x7 paper and a small square one, a metal pencil sharpener ~$6 on Amazon and a very small blending stump. I can get a set of 10 stumps of varying sizes for about $5 on Amazon so the small one I got was worth about .25. So maybe being generous about $11 worth of crap for $30. What a deal. Oh yeah-and a tiny bag of overly sweet “gourmet” popcorn. Save your money. Not worth it. I’ll have to suffer through 2 more months of this but definitely not gonna renew. What a disappointment.
Hi Lee,
I take my customer satisfaction very seriously and wish you had reached out to me first so I could help you. However, it seems like you were confused as to the nature of this box. With each of our boxes, you're getting FOUR lessons each month for the price of one average art lesson. You are correct about the contents of the box, April was a drawing lesson. So, yes, it contains exactly that: drawing supplies. However, every box is different and teaches different concepts. There are times when the supplies in the box are worth more, but we don't fill them with junk that we don't need (other than fun, useful options as we can).
As for the popcorn, it is...
This is an awesome box. The supplies are great and the step-by-step instruction is really valuable for someone (like me) with no formal art training.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Alana, please let me know if you need anything along the way by emailing or messaging me/us! We are a small business and can use all the kind words we can get. <3
Sincerely,
Kellie W.
I love color and art but have a fear block to create art by myself. Her easy going, simple method of teaching I can follow and they are short sessions with all the supplies as well as written instructions. There are 4 simple projects each month to keep you motivated. I got the classic box, learning different styles of painting for Sept 2021, and it has given me so much confidence to keep trying to learn art. I am looking forward to my next box. Also, you can watch the prior art lessons online if you are currently getting their boxes and use your own art supplies. I've watched so many YouTube art classes, but this has caused me to actually create the art and learn my own style. Each month is a different form of art. I think it is the simple exercises that don't take much time and the step by step exact instructions that makes it worth the price for a beginner to try different forms of art. It is truly like taking a professional art class.
Jennifer, thank. you so much for the kind words. <3 I really appreciate them. Please shoot me a message or email and let me know if you need anything along the way!
Sincerely,
Kellie W.
