March 2022
This month we will be going on a pirate-y adventure as we explore art with Ooly brush markers. The projects will be adapted from the Elementary box to be age appropriate for most Preschoolers.
April 2022
This box is the same as the Elementary Artist Box, but the level of steps for the project is different. That way families with kids of different age groups can do the projects together, but have different stopping points! If the preschool kiddos don't want to use the supplies to make the projects as seen, they can explore the supplies in other ways to help foster their creativity.
May 2022
Our May kids boxes are all abut collage and composition, but will also include a lesson about portrait drawing and color mixing. This inspiring box includes all the supplies needed to create four projects along with written instructions and video lessons (just email us for access to the videos)!
June 2022
This month our kid members will try their hand at palette knife paintings and consider basic color mixing as they create basic versions of beloved art history classics. Can you name the artists who we are imitating this month? The younger kiddos will do their best and may end up just playing with the paint, but it's always worth the mess as we help guide and inspire our youngest artists!
July 2022
If you are looking for fun projects each week of the month, subscribe to get some coloring pages in July! We will be going through how to draw the drawings, but they also have the option of being able to trace the light lines and color things in.
August 2022
This month we'll be looking at all the fun things you've been doing this summer as we say goodbye to summer and hello to fall!
September 2022
This box will explore the concept of "extinct" and use dinosaurs as an example, along with some other animals. We will use the leveled approach and have fun and modify projects as we go!
October 2022
Our October box explored the same anatomy/figure collage that the Elementary students did, but with guides to cut out and practice scissors skills.
November 2022
This box will explore making a story at a preschool level. Parents will help them write a simple story and preschoolers get to illustrate it and trace the words the parent/adult wrote in pencil. We will also be reading a book called Ava's Triumph by Mary E. Miller and Linda Woo about being resilient while making art-- even in the face of mistakes!
December 2022
The kids projects this month will include some mystery supplies and teach about color schemes and themes! Outlines will be on the reverse of the paper for the younger kids to paint inside the lines!
January 2023
This month we worked with polymer clay and practiced color mixing!
February 2023
This month our kid members will be creating with Ooly Chunky paint sticks and (not pictured) paint markers to design colorful, patterned paintings on canvas!
