Overall not sure how I feel about this. My first thought when I opened it was oh my gosh I’m embarrassed to tell my roommate how much I spent on this box ( we always share our inboxing experiences) So feeling embarrassed is probably not a good thing. So being embarrassed Is probably not a good sign. The box itself is 16.99 and I think the shipping is four dollars so it comes to about $20 or $21. So I paid almost $21 for a tiny mug. I really feel silly. I think I let my love of mugs cloud my judgment. The other thing about this is that it claims to come with a little extra goodie or item. I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I thought some months maybe they put 2 mugs in the box with other months you might get a mug and maybe a couple coasters or maybe even a box of tea. But no, the extra gift was a couple of individual tea bags. So I don’t know if that was more misleading or disappointing or both. Paid for two months, finally received the first one and it was broken... never got a reply to the email I wrote. Second one still hasn’t arrived so thank goodness I went ahead and canceled. Looked at other reviews, and the only 5-star review on here is from the lady who sends (or doesn’t send) the emails.
I canceled the subscription because my last shipment is still in Pre-Shipment status since 10/29/2020, almost 1 month ago. I have write to the seller on 4 different occations and still haven't received any response from them.
First, I want to give the disclaimer that I hate leaving negative reviews, because I know how hard it is to run your own business and I know how screwed up COVID has made so many things. But I have been really disappointed with both the customer service and quality of this subscription.
My first mug arrived completely shattered because it was poorly packaged with a bath bomb loose inside the mug. I contacted the seller to see if I could get a replacement, and she replied right away that she'd send a new one and would email me the tracking number the next day. It's been 7 weeks and I have not received a tracking number or replacement mug. I've followed up twice and received no response.
In the meantime, my second mug just arrived (7 weeks after the first...), along with a single-serve coffee and a sticker. The mug is cute, but it's obviously an inexpensive mass-produced mug that I could buy for myself for much less money. (It took me 30 seconds to find the identical mug on a major retail site, which sells a set of 3 mugs for cheaper than this subscription.) Same with the coffee. That would all be fine if there was an obvious theme or curation or personal touch that made the box feel special -- but there's not. It just feels like I got a repackaged and way overpriced mug.
I hope the seller makes changes to the way they do business,...
Paying but am not receiving.... we have gotten two of the four months we have paid for.
My only complaint is id like some other colors. Both boxes I've gotten so far were pink mugs. I gave them to my mom who loves pink.
I've already contacted the seller. I don't understand why we get charged on the first of the month and the box takes OVER a month to arrive. The response from MugBoxx directly are sporadic. Sometimes within a day and sometimes no reply at all. Just disappointing because Coffee mugs and plants are my self care/spoil items.
I subscribed in late February and got a notice that the shipping label for my box was printed on Feb 24. Over a week passed with no updates to the tracking, and it seemed that MugBoxx had not sent the package to USPS in all that time. I sent an email to them and also a message through Crate Joy with no response to either. Over 2 weeks later (March 11) I finally got my package, and I was pretty disappointed by the mug. It’s more of a teacup size than a mug. I don’t think it’s worth $20.99 and the slow shipping and lack-of-communication from their customer service team was very disappointing.
Charged twice and received nothing after 6 weeks. Attempted to contact seller and chat twice and received no replies. One charge was refunded with no explanation. Received no product for the additional charge, even after more than two weeks. Customer service does not exist. Badly ran or non-existent company.
