Yes, that is an option, just remember to turn off your auto renew or email our service address and we are happy to turn it off for you.

Hi Val,
Your second box will ship with all our monthly boxes February 1st and it is your February box. We ship every new subscriber’s first box early, usually within 48 hours after they sign up, then every subsequent box goes out with our regular monthly shipment the first day of each month. This sometimes creates more than 30 days between your first and second box depending on when you signed up but after that they come every 30 days like clockwork.
When you signed up, the box for December had already shipped (the first day of December), so we shipped you the January box. If we shipped a box to you this month it would be a duplicate of what you already received but it...

I am having this same issue with the last two boxes, and still have not received any sort of response. Have you gotten anything from the seller?
I ordered this as a gift in May 30th. The gift still hasn’t arrived and it is July 6th. You cannot call a number to see what the status is. I emailed customer service since that is the only way and they said they would get someone on it immediately. This was June 30th. I still have not received a notice that the first month gift went out. I tried another email to say but by the time the gift is sent the child will be too old for the package I chose. Terrible company.
I have enjoyed sending this monthly gift to my grandson for the past year and a half. However, sometimes it seems the books are not selected for the age range I've selected. Sadly, he received the same exact books for April and May. I could see that kinda mistake possibly happening months apart, but the next month!?!
I had this subscription before and had to stop for some time and now I've restarted. My daughters loves the book selection. Bit disappointing about how long it took to get my February box, and customer service took days to reply. I finally got it. Hopefully my next box is on time. If not I'll be ending my subscription which would be disappointing
I’m still not sure on when I will get the books each month, but I love the selections. I just thought if it gets renewed then that when they would ship it a little bit later. Overall I love the books and I get a little something in the boxes too.
Grandson loved it.
Most of the books are nice, however recent books I received were of religious connotation, and that is not what I signed up for. That should’ve been disclosed before hand. I will not be renewing my subscription because of this.
I have been trying to cancel both of mu subscriptions since Dec. I only paid for a year and did not authorize the charge on my account for another year.
The books I received are O.K. Would like to see the latest books in the box.
For the past year, every month we have gotten a box, without fail, and it has been wonderful. I hate having to cancel the subscription for now (because I will be back once our finances pick back up again), but it's been worth it each month. My kid loves it and it's a nice variety that is helping us reach that 1000 book goal before kindergarten between library trips. I have recommend this box to everyone I know with little ones.
I have been off and on subscribed to My first reading club for about 2 years or so. My son has autism and has almost always loved the books he gets! And some of the books are more than you pay for everything with just one book! Very pleased with this subscription and I definitely recommend it!
