Kayla, Thank you for reaching out. The bonus craft is typically a smaller craft that coordinates with the main craft. Last month we sent out hot cocoa themed tiered tray accessories. The bonus craft was a mini cocoa theme banner.

Hi Bonnie, if you have a 13 year old that likes to craft I would say absolutely! Step by step instructions are included. Items not included in your kits that will be needed are usually just a hot glue gun and scissors. Take a scroll through our past boxes, we mainly do seasonal decor items. If you think those would appeal to your 13 year old go for it!
