Q: Does this box come with a cosmetic bag as well so that she can keep things together?Asked by Bobbi F., April 2020
Yes! The first box comes with this cute make-up bag with rainbow stripes on it! Big enough for all the makeup (and big enough to presumably fit the next couple boxes of makeup in it as well).
The pictures in the description are deceptive. It makes it look as if you will get many more items than came in the box. My first impression of the box before opening was that it was much smaller than I anticipated. The box measured 8.5"L x5"W x1.5"T and easily fit into my mailbox. It was shipped quickly - we received it within 2 weeks of ordering.
When we opened it, there was a cute card and origami bird that was a nice touch. Inside the box, there was:
1 cute, but flimsy, makeup bag (retail $0.32 - 16 pack of the exact bag is $5.69)
1 foldable brush as pictured in the video (retail $4-$6 depending on retailer)
1 eye shadow color (do not know retail value - etsy shop is closed)
2 cheap foam applicators (retail $0.15-0.25)
36 sticker gems for ears or nails (retail $1 for 36 - $7.99 for 288 pieces)
1 lip gloss (retail $11.99)
1 nail polish (retail $6)
1 mermaid tail makeup brush 1/2" tip eye shadow brush (retail $2 - set of 7 is $13.97)
Totaling: about $35-$40
There were a couple other stickers in the box as well, but for $40.00 I guess I was expecting more. This was a fun box for my daughter to open. It was packaged thoughtfully and has non-toxic ingredients I can feel good letting my daughter play with. Do not buy this expecting the same value as the high-volume, big-name subscriptions you see tons of unboxing videos of online where you pay $50 and get...
Thank you so much for your accurate review! I'm working on getting updated pictures of our individual boxes that meet Cratejoy's criteria so I can post them here. I'm just now realizing that this Cratejoy ad doesn't send you to our website or instagram page where we have honest literature and unboxings so that no box is a surprise (or disappointment).
We don't want any of our customers to feel duped. Our business model cannot mimic ipsy because non-toxic makeup products have high-quality ingredients like coconut oil, lanolin, jojoba oil, beeswax, etc. that are nourishing for our skin but cannot be cheaply produced. They're scented with oils, essences, and extracts that also cannot be cheaply made and dyed with non-toxic and natural minerals mined from...
