Ordered nearly two months ago, still have not receive a shipment, though I've been told there are two shipments on the way, there has been no tracking number provided, and that last communication was 3 1/2 weeks ago. very poor communication. Seller no longer responding to my inquiries...
I'm really disappointed as I was excited about receiving the products offered by this seller and was looking forward to expanding my collection.

I don't normally review things but on this occasion I feel compelled to, I subscribed at the end of May and eagerly awaited June's box, only to be disappointed that it didn't arrive. I figured it was late and waited. Then July's box also didn't arrive. So, rather than paying for a third month to get nothing I cancelled at the end of July and I've been emailing the seller since. They have responded to my understanding with: I should have the first box and that the second box was just delayed. It is now the start of September and no sign of either box or a satisfactory answer. The tracking information they provided is useless as from what I understand it's only updated once a delivery is attempted.

Thanks so much for your review here on CrateJoy. Whilst this review isn't the most favourable towards us, it's something we take seriously here!
Looking at your orders- they were indeed shipped and tracking was sent to you. We use a service called International Standard here in the UK, which is the defacto International method. To have parcels fully tracked from the United Kingdom to the USA would cost nearly as much as the box itself!
Unfortunately, in situations like these, Royal Mail has to liaise with local couriers to determine if boxes are lost- and in many cases, we've found the boxes "mysteriously show up!" right before any compensation...

I just got my first box today and love it. Then again, I love obscure titles and am looking for things off of the beaten path. ELO, Rick Wakeman, Lonnie Donnegan were included in my first shipment. None of which I had before, but all I know and am looking forward to hearing.
All my checked selections were met, and the albums are in great condition.
It's a fun treasure for real music lovers!

I was really excited to find this box at first. With the club being overseas the records would be a little different then what are in the US. Well my packages arrived over a month late with shipments 1 and 2 together. As of writing this I still have not received the last shipment. This may just be a better box for people closer to the sellers home. I would not recommend this for anyone in the US unless you want to wait a long time.

Thanks so much for your review. I totally understand that the shipping time wasn't ideal. I do have some exciting news though! I have partnered with a record store in the USA, and with the same quality control and branding, we'll be sending out orders which will arrive within 3 days rather than 2 months starting in January!

I know your experience wasn't ideal, and I'm making changes operationally to stop it from happening again.

Just dreadful. The records I was sent were the sort that sat unsold in charities stores gathering dust. The total value of an avg. crate (having priced the records independently) was around £6-10, yet I was paying almost £30 for them. One of the records even still had a price tag on for £1.95 - from a charity store! Attempts to contact ‘The Retro Store’ have gone unanswered, including those to cancel my subscription. I finally had to ask my bank to intervene. I’m almost £100 poorer. At least my local charity-store might be £18 better off once I give these records away (which is all I can do with them).

Love all the vinyl i got the first 2 months (October and November), on december (for chrismast i assume) i got my box at the end of january but with 5 vinyl so i do not know if this was a extra gift or i should considerer two months (altough it would be missed 1 vinyl) and i still do not get my shipment of january, febreaury and march. I assume this is because i live at Peru, no so many costumers from here.... but i would love to have more feedbacks to the status.
Anyhow, i still recomened....the hand picking selection is really really good when a i get it hehehe

Had bought records previously but had been left dissatisfied with the quality. I contacted the retro store and within a few hours they had responded to me giving me all the info I needed. I signed up for the subscription boxes and am very happy with the products received.

Was looking to start a vinyl collection but was unsure where to start. The team at the Retro got back to my query within 24 hours with an informative friendly response. I decided to go ahead with the monthly record club as it is great value for money in my opinion. So far I have 12 records to date and I should be receiving my next box in two week. The records are packaged very well and sound incredible! I would definitely recommend The Retro Store!

I've enjoyed receiving my hand selected vinyls. Great choices. Correspondance with the guys has been friendly. Able to pick some interesting albums I've never heard whilst still being something not too radically different from my taste. I also bought some vinyl cleaning gel from them which has been superb.
