Bad Quality, Worse Customer Service

I enrolled in May. I canceled my subscription, and the last books I received was in November. Their little extras as other mentioned travel size bottles of lotion(my friends and i would joke that they raided another hotel for lotion), I got a few other minor items along the way: a tube of chapstick, bath salts twice.
However these items were really not important at all for me. I was more interested in the books, it is a book subscription. On two separate months the books that were sent were NOT in my chosen genre. The first time I emailed them twice a week and a half apart, they came back with I'm sorry let me update your preference.
The second time I emailed them in November after receiving another box with books that were not in my chosen genre. I got no response at all. I canceled my subscription, again telling them the books sent were not from my chosen genre, still no contact from them.Their website plainly states that if you tell them you have received the wrong genre they will send replacement books. They never sent any replacement books.
I have come to the conclusion that they are not sending me books from one of their other genres as a mistake, but the books they are choosing to send are not representations of what they claim to send. Two facts have brought me to this conclusion: they NEVER send a "recap" of the months selections. Every other subscription club I belong to (about 4 other companies I currently subscribe to) has sent a card or print of all items they are sending. Second the fact they never sent replacement books. I truly believe that for both months they didn't have anything that would have been the chosen genre, so they simply went through their back stock and threw stuff in.
What happened to the quality?

They used to be amazing, but no longer. The selection quality has steadily been declining then this past month my box was somehow left on the table and not shipped, or so they said when asked why it hadn’t arrived after two weeks. After finally arriving quite late, it was simply old books they had already sent. I contacted them to cancel my subscription, telling them it was due to the duplicate books, and they have not responded but charged me for another month. If they had corrected the problem it would have been fine, but this has left me a very unhappy customer.

2 books and a lotion....2 books and a lotion... hopefully you can see a trend. I didn't want to believe it, but that's what I got also. And not even a substantial lotion. A tiny travel size lotion. There isn't a theme to the books other than the subcategory selected. Not the happiest.
