Thanks for the question! After purchase, you will be emailed a comprehensive preferences survey in which you can detail your size, style preferences, and more.
If you love vintage t-shirts, you'll be able to tell us and we'll be sure to send some. If, for example, you're allergic to wool or you live in too hot a place to ever wear a sweater, you can tell us and we wont send you any.

Q: I’m 6’3”, 170 lbs, so finding vintage clothes that are long enough without being way too wide is really tough. How does this service do in matching the clothes in the boxes to the size needs of the customers?Asked by Adam Z., May 2019

We match customers via a comprehensive style survey delivered by email after subscription.
You're right that finding vintage clothing in tall sizes can be difficult. But because we acquire vintage clothing at scale and maintain a warehouse of vintage inventory, we're never had a subscriber we couldn't service. Dozens of our subscribers are 6'3" or taller.
Q: I've seen several questions about outfitting taller men... and responses to the affirmative. However, at 6'8" / 250 lbs, I tend to be a bit more of a challenge. Do you think you could accommodate me?Asked by Michael P., July 2021

Thanks so much for reaching out! We can absolutely accommodate you. While I'll acknowledge that certain items--say a t-shirt from a particular event or style of jacket from a specific brand--might not exist in all sizes, I'm confident that we can put together a box that fits your body and lifestyle.
Q: How is your size inclusivity? Many menswear sub boxes don't carry my size: 27" trouser, xs shirt, 7 shoe. Do you accommodate smaller gentlemen?Asked by Ivory K., March 2021

The Comma Vintage box has been the longest recurring box subscription I have ever had (over 3 years now). I have gotten everything from warm legit flannels to American made semi-formal footwear to (my personal favorite) a super warm sheep skin lined winter coat. People often ask me where I got my clothing items. Whenever there has been a slight issue (mainly sizing issues) the Comma team is more than happy to remedy the issue. After refilling the subscription, it takes a few weeks to receive my items, but this is a fact I am happy about because they always choose the ideal items for me. Plus they always provide a note describing the items they sent which, to me, shows their dedication to curating a wonderful experience for me.
As a 30+ year old man living a pretty busy life, I don't always have the time I need to scour through secondhand shops for unique items. Even more, the vintage shops in my city are incredibly expensive for the same/ less quality items. 100% recommend comma every time.

I love this box. They are extremely communicative with you to help make a box that is specific to your tastes and interests. It truly feels like someone is going into vintage stores and shopping just for me, which it turns out, is what is happening. Every box comes with a personal letter typed out just for you explaining what you have received and why it was chosen for you. You can also follow them on IG and comment on clothes they find, and they remember that you comment, and maybe even send you that piece of clothing. It is the best.
