Q: does anyone know if it's Scribbler is still shipping despite C19?Asked by Omar F., April 2020
Hi there, Scribbler! We shipped out March boxes and are offering a digital April box on our shop as a separate purchase (not part of the subscription). We plan to be back to shipping physical boxes in May. Thanks!
Q: I am a poet. From looking at the past boxes, it looks like these items are meant for writers of prose. Do the box contents provide resources for poets?Asked by Melanie H., December 2020
Q: I am interested in writing scifi, horror, like Stephen king and twilight zone. Would this be a good box for me to subscribe to?Asked by Pam K., July 2020
Hi Scribbler! Thanks for your question! We cover a wide range of writing topics in our boxes, but most themes can be applied to any genre. Themes like, "How to Write a Great Hook," or "Perfecting Your Ending," or "Creating Memorable Characters." Our goal is to keep you motivated, improve your writing, and educate you on your publishing options so you can churn out that next Stephen King style book. Keep writing, Scribbler!
It’s not specific to a genre, but to the skills of becoming a better writer. This month’s box contained two books in genres I would never have personally picked up. With the author’s comments in the passport that accompanies one of the books, I have learnt so much from a source I would have dismissed because it’s not the genre I write. My writing is better, because Scribbler makes me look outside my comfort zone.
Q: I think you should really give us an option of what we want, because I got my box and it has a book about vampires in it, I don't really care for that, I write fiction about animals for kids....Asked by Ramdom G., August 2020
This box is the best thing I have done for my writing career. Each box contains a lesson that gives food for thought and brings depth to my books. The people behind the box are some of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of interacting with in this field. Don’t hesitate!
Amazing November box!
This is by far my favorite box that I have ordered. I received my 2nd box this week & was delighted with the products inside. I have been very impressed with the email updates and literary contests that they send information on. I absolutely adore the candle this month & the journal from last month. I always to the 2nd box to leave a review so I have some idea of consistency & both boxes were delightfully well curated.
Was so pleased with everything in this box - it was a whole bunch of goodies! The recipient was excited by the gift and just as thrilled.
Great subscription box geared toward the writer / reader! Each monthly box is built around a carefully chosen theme. The book, writerly advice and inside publishing booklet are great for writers to see the theme in action. And the bookish goodies are an amazing plus!
I've been a customer and a fan of Scribbler since it first started. I love everything I've gotten from stress balls to passports jammed packed with valuable information. The only complaint is that I live in Canada and have to wait a few extra days for delivery.
I love this box so much! Every month I've loved what I've gotten!
Was delighted to receive my first box of the month from Scribbler. I was interested in the new writers' journey as well as the encouragement provided along the path.
The book looks fabulous. This is an excellent way to be exposed to writing genres and styles that are different.
