Q: Do Sew What project boxes require a sewing machine? Are the boxes suitable for a 7 and a 9 year old?Asked by Masey P., November 2021
Our projects and tutorial videos are designed for creation with a sewing machine. Also, they are suitable for ages 8 and older, or about age 6 or 7, if the kiddos are sewing with an adult.
Q: Do I need a sewing machine to create these projects? Asked by Gabrielle M., September 2021

Q: I have a subscription. How do I edit the patterns? When I go to your website, I can’t link the subscription I have with Cratejoy. Thanks!Asked by Rhiannon B., November 2020
Hi there! Yes, our site and Cratejoy track subscribers separately. But, all of the project video links and the link to download the project pattern do not need proof of membership. All you need to do is type in the link. Are you having trouble with a certain link?
My daughter has been using the Sew What Box for the last year, and she loves it! The pre-cut fabrics make things so much easier, and she loves the little accessories that are complimentary with each box. The instructional videos make the sewing lesson go smoothly. It’s a great way for us to spend time together and for her to learn a valuable skill!
Just learning how to sew and this box helps me accomplish that goal. Seeing it on the table reminds me to get the machine and start! Everything you need to do the project is included and the youtube video gives step-by-step instructions. I was able to complete the blanket in an afternoon. Great box for a beginner sewer like me!
Thank you I enjoyed this class is so easy with you I can't wait to the next package
These boxes are genius! Haven’t sewn since I was a kid but their directions really are easy to follow and easy to troubleshoot if you get lost. Packaging is pretty to boot and the quality makes us feel that each project is worth the reasonable cost!
I just received my first box yesterday and I am thrilled with its contents. Everything I would need to make the project are included in the box plus I am able to make 2 items. There's extra goodies for a surprise project. Tomorrow is the instruction live video. I'm so happy with this month's box. Since I only started sewing a year ago, I feel I am still very much at the beginner stage. This monthly box is ideal for me. The instructions were so clear; I love it. If there were doubts, there was a video for the visual learners! I without a doubt made a great decision to subscribe to the Sew What Box month subscription. Can't wait to see what's to come!
The projects have been fun and my confidence in sewing is going up!!!
I love the monthly themes and the projects are all so unique (and useful). This box cuts out all the hassle of finding this, that, and the other thing; so I can just start crafting. I can't wait to see what's next!
Such a cute little subscription. It was fun, personal, and would’ve been great but I’m a little more advanced with sewing Hope this one does well for others!
Nothing I'd make as a gift or for my own decor. Predictable flag decor for memorial day/4th of July Table runner. Not something I'd spend time and effort making or buying. Nice fabric quality that will sit in my fabric stash for who knows how long.
