Yes, the box and stuffed animal will start the subscription if you sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month term. And, we are always happy to add a second Sunny stuffed animal when we see two names on a subscription. :)
Q: Is there a way to get 3 snails? I have 3 toddler boys and they would love getting mail each week from this, but only 1 snail would be very hard for them to share without fighting over it. Asked by Breanna C., February 2021
Sure thing! We can't have anyone fighting over Sunny, lol. It might be a squeeze but we will get 3 stuffed animals in the welcome box. If you want them each to have their own box with separate shipping, then you can go to our Store and order two extra boxes. Either way, we will include 3 of everything in each letter too. Hi Crystal-Jean. We can ship the weekly letters to Canada no problem! It's the Sunny Stuffed Animal/Box that is super expensive to ship right now. If you don't mind paying for that shipping separately as an add on, we can also include the stuffed animal and letter box too. Oh my goodness. Never before has there been a more perfect subscription box for a little kid desperate for mail. My son is the youngest of four (so already has a bit of an excluded complex), and we had to move with the army in the middle of this global pandemic - to a new state and a street with not one single other kid on it. Mail has become our primary connection with the outside world. But when a day passes and there isn’t anything for a five year old (or, even worse, when there IS something for an older sibling), all devastation ensues.
Cue Sunny, the Mail Snail. Not only is he cute, he’s the embodiment of worldly connection for my little isolated kids (and he’s brought to us by our beloved USPS mail lady - who is mom’s only social outlet, the poor dear). Sunny comes with adorable little cards and envelopes (all of which were used almost immediately), and, most importantly, a real, genuine VIP card, allocating membership to the super elite club of Snail Mail Recipients. Nothing in the entire world has ever made my kid feel as special as that VIP card does.
We are so excited for WEEKLY letters from Sunny. Waiting a month between most subscription boxes can feel like an agonizing eternity for little kids (and moms trying to find ways to entertain said kids). The perfect solution is a smaller, but still entertaining and engaging weekly subscription.

We gave this to our 3-1/2 yr old granddaughter last Christmas. She loves it!
I have to explain about the 3 star review for shipping. To be fair it WAS NOT snail mail for kids fault. The USPS mail service had horrible problems and delays last December which resulted in our granddaughter not receiving the box in time to open on Christmas morning. It was disappointing but OK. Wendy actually extended my subscription for free because of the shipping problem; they didn’t have to do that, but it was appreciated greatly!
The idea of this box is brilliant! Kids really do love getting something in the mail! And this box is a great learning activity. The only thing mentioned by the parents is they think she would enjoy it more if she were old enough to read the letters herself. But they are saving everything and said they will give all the boxes to her in a few years when she CAN read. Double win! So age 3 to 4 would probably be the earliest age to send this to. If you are hesitating, just try this box!

So unique! I bought these for my pre-k 3 students because I wanted to teach them about actual mail that is not virtual. We have created a job on our job board dedicated to checking our class mailbox to see what Sunny has delivered. The kids love the adventures that he goes on and anxiously await to see what is next. Since it is geared towards only 1 child and we only receive one of the "special" items with each box (feather, sticker, etc.) we decided to just hang our map up and display it on a our cork board for all to see!

We signed Addison Sky up for Snail Mail in March. She is 3 and loves her Snail Mail. The next week he delivers mail to an Owl and kids learn a few funny jokes - what a Hoot! They also find out how Sunny gets around to deliver his mail: with his BFF Bluebird of course! They get a special blue feather when they meet Bluebird.
