Waste of money

I will be posting on every possible site to warn people not to waste their money. You do not get a box as pictured it is a tiny bag in the mail. In it are 3 more tiny bags with 3 tiny pieces of jerky each. After waiting 3 weeks for my first order I contacted the seller who assured me they would be sending it right out with an extra bag for the delay. Wonderful! .... if that actually had happened. It took another 2 weeks for these lazy idiots to put it in the mail with you guessed it no extra bag... how nice. Subscription box sales are not for everyone especially these forgetful morons. Definitely skip, get twice the jerky at your local farmers market- way cheaper and faster. Sorry to those who like the subscription for I will be petitioning it for removal until I get a full refund.

Had a few good emails between the owner and myself. He initiated by asking what flavors I prefer. Shipment one was good, but I told him the quantity seemed low relative to the price. He thanked me for the comments and assured me I'd like the next shipment. Well shipment two came and it was horrible. The BBQ and Teriyaki of the same brand simply tasted like smoke flavor and was very dry and crumbly. The hot garlic was just simply hot. I emailed Ryan, the CEO, and told him to please discontinue my subscription as the product I just got wasn't up to par and I didn't see the value. His one liner reply: "Will cancel it but fuck your attitude dude. Get a life."
Do you want to do business with this guy? Not to mention if you search his name, his personal website reads like a get rich quick scheme and he brags on the Internet about how Sumo Jerky brings in $10k per month...
Whatever man. You tell me to get a life yet get bent out of shape when I tell you your service is overpriced and the product sucks...makes sense.
Not worth the price

The biggest problem with the service (only problem, really) is that it's quite expensive. Now, if you couldn't just get online and order weird jerky from anywhere you want, it would be something you can't get from anywhere else, but it's not. Obviously, you can't run a business without added costs on top of a product when your business is simply being a middleman, but this is just a service for lazy people who don't feel like googling "best jerky" or "interesting jerky" or something similar. Also, I mentioned that I did not want anything too spicy and was rewarded with an unflavored, original bag of jerky, which you can get anywhere for the same price as shipping alone costs, so make sure you're more specific when discussing possible flavors, as the owner will personalize your order for you and still give you a surprise flavor if you want. It's a unique service, that'll probably get you some good flavors if you don't mind overpaying to try them.

I have only been a member for two months so far. First batch was not good. Two of the three were not good. Flavors were very one dimensional.
The March batch was much better, also from different manufacturers. Flavors were good and distinct and meat quality was great.

I just received my first order and it was awesome. The jerky was great and I almost ate it all the same day I got it. The CEO himself also emailed to make sure I received everything and communicated with me throughout the process. I highly recommend this as a gift or for yourself! So YUMMY!!!

I would highly recommend sumojerky.com to any jerky lover! Let's face it, good jerky can be difficult to find. I was pleasantly surprised with my first bag. The flavors were great and it tasted incredibly fresh. I am so excited to continue receiving new and exciting jerky every month!

Received my first batch of jerky. You can really taste the higher quality. Definitely worth signing up for. Especially since how expensive bodega jerky costs nowadays

The flavor I had was lime + it had a nice spicy kick to it which I really enjoyed. It's also very important to say that customer service was really amazing and response times are great.
Ryan answered all my questions and went out of his way to help me decide if SumoJerky was right for me.
Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves jerky.
