I have been getting the 8-12 year old book drop for my kids and my nieces for the last 2 years, and it has been wonderful! It has introduced many books to the kids that they would never have otherwise been aware of. We really enjoy reading them as a family so that we can discuss them, as many are around challenging (and important) topics. Every month the kids are very excited to see the book arrive in the mail. We have never had any difficulty with delivery.
