I was highly disappointed in the book that I received. By the time I received the book, I was already committed to receive the next months book. $21 for a paperback book is too much!
I am very frustrated as I was alerted on Jan 13 that this shipped. When I googled the USPS tracking number it shows a tracking number created but the box was never provided to USPS. This is for a gift and it is now very late. I actually feel like this may be a scam. I also sent an email to Cratejoy support with no response and while the email said they would escalate it if no response within 48 hours, that does not seem to have happened. either.
Given that I ordered my books on 11/26 in plenty of time to arrive for Christmas, I would consider my experience with The Book Drop as a epic fail. My gift seems to be stuck in limbo between two or more USPS facilities. My email asking for an update from the vendor has not been answered. Perhaps you need to work on your customer service and come up with a better way to deliver your product.
Hello, thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately (& as much as we wish we could) we cannot control or influence USPS's delivery times or procedures. It's important to note that we shipped your book via priority and you emailed us on Christmas. We emailed you back on the first day we reopened after the holiday, just as our away message and website stated. We appreciate your feedback and will start looking into a better way to deliver our product - we are highly considering Owl Postal Service for future mailings. Happy reading!
Took a really long time to get to me and after taxes and currency conversion I ended up paying almost $40 for a $16 book geared more toward an older teen or a young 20 something. Just not worth the price.
Thank you so much for your review! Unfortunately we cannot control the currency conversion or, as much as we wish we could, USPS's speed in delivery - especially when something gets shipped internationally to Canada during COVID-19. We ship our international packages via USPS International First Class Mail. Beyond that we sadly cannot control how quickly a package gets to our reader. Thank you so much for supporting independent bookstores! Happy reading!
I thought I had subscribed to books for adults, and here I am with 3 books written clearly for pre-teens. Also, the first book advertised that would be sent to me, was an adult book, which I never received.
