Fell below my expectation

UPDATE---I did receive an email after I posted my review and some candles were sent to my sister. However, I replied twice to their email correspondence and have yet to receive a reply. They are not very communicative and I probably will not shop with them again. its a great gift idea, just not the right company.

I purchased this box as a gift for my sister. We are both craft and decorator fanatics so I thought this would be something unique and fun to give. I could not wait for her box to arrive. To my disappointment, the box was not packaged well and the big plate was split right down the middle. In addition, there wasn't any cute little paper explaining what each item was. I've received crates similar to this from other companies and they always include descriptions of the items, along with manufacturer and possible uses. So I was left trying to help her figure out a few of the items that were not so self explanatory. We finally found our way to the website where we were able to figure it out.

In the meantime, I had to send 2 emails to Root and Roam - 1 directly and 1 through cratejoy to get my broken item resolved. They did respond and say that they were sorry and would send a new plate, along with some extra goodies for our troubles. Also I could...

August box

I loved the June box! The contents were fun to decorate with and very good quality. The August box was very disappointing! I received a box that was poorly packed resulting in cracked and broken votive pots. The poorly made notebook holder, has a stand on the back that is crooked, therefore, not useful. Sadly, I feel like this month was a waste of money.

Sometimes items do get jarred in shipping, it's always so disappointing to hear about it.
