What a magical thing to subscribe to! I absolutely love receiving a beautifully, hand-typewritten poem every month, from a new artist. Each one is so unique and uplifting and truly makes my day! The email updates bring new artists and small businesses to check out and support, straight to my inbox. I could not recommend PoemsbyPost enough, looking forward to next months poem already!
It’s not often that both a company, and their owners, can leave a lasting impression on me such as that by Poems by Post has. Their kindness, authenticity and devotion to supporting artists is commendable; it is the perfect example of sparking joy through the little things! Every month, receiving the hand-written poem in the post truly brightens my day, with each one articulating a different theme beautifully. February’s poem matched a month of self-love, and January a fresh start. As someone who writes poetry herself, they have both inspired me to share my work, and supported me through showing their continued goodwill and interest! I couldn’t recommend Poems by Post enough – it’s wonderful to know that you are both helping small businesses (they even include illustrations by artists on the envelopes – which I keep, due to being so pretty!) and receiving happiness through the art of words :)
Such a cool concept getting a poem in the mail every month. Makes an awesome gift too, as this was for me. Would definitely reccomend!
A delightful, lovely, wonderful and personal service. I could not recommend it more for anyone interested in the wonders of the word or the power of poetry!
Such a unique and innovative concept. Absolutely loved the poems I have received and the fact I am supporting young, local artists makes it mean even more. Highly recommend.
In July Matt Alton took our hands, and walked us through a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance with his wonderful poem 'A home to call your own'. The artist behind the beautiful envelope and accompanying card, all inspired by Matt's poem, was the brilliant Fay Troote!
This month we have a poem about poetry! Mina West delves into her own journey into poetry for inspiration for June's poem. Perhaps there'll be some fellow addicts getting a hit from this one...
As the world opens back up and the sun starts to shine, we all have a chance to re-venture outside and appreciate Mother Nature in all her gory. Dana's poem serves as a reminder of the connection between ourselves and the natural world.
In a world where distancing has become the new social, Blake Auden chronicles the events of the past year in his trademark style - succinct yet poignant.
You can find peace and serenity within the Ocean's fierce power. PM allows our emotions to surf the Waves in this evocative and thought-provoking poem, encouraging us to reconnect with ourselves and our emotions.
Before we fall in love with anybody else, we must first learn to love ourselves... Niamh Murphy's 'Falling In Love' perfectly captures the little moments that we all experience; the moments of self-appreciation that we all take for granted; the moments that we all need to pause and take stock of. We were delighted to have Niamh as February's featured poet, and we hope that you love her words as much as we do.
In these trying times it's the small things that keep us going. It's our family, our routines, and our unwavering hope and belief that we will get through this. Sam Bruce brilliantly captures the feeling of the world with their words; their personal experiences resonating deeply with everybody who hears/reads them. Working with Sam was a delight, and we are proud to share this poem with you.
