Q: We are vegan. Is this the right box for us?Asked by Phoenyx W., January 2021
Hi Phoenyx,
Thanks for your message! The spices themselves are all vegan and if you choose the Delicious vegetarian recipes option then the recipes are vegetarian rather than vegan, however the recipes can be easily altered to suit a vegan diet by using dairy-free milks/yogurts/spreads/tofu/root veg etc.. and any ingredients in the shopping list can be omitted or substituted. We'd also be happy to give advice on substitutions for any specific recipes if there are any questions.

Q: What is the difference between World Food Spice Box and Spicery Recipe Kits?Asked by Asha P., September 2020
Hi Asha, the World Food box is for a full meal for 4 people (could be a main plus breads, rice, veg, chutneys etc, or it could be for a main, sides and dessert). The meal for these boxes is more involved in terms of time and effort, but the end result is more intricate and complex with a range of different dishes to try
The recipe kits are for simpler, quicker meals with just a main and 1 side (could be a condiment, rice or veg), but you get 2 of these per box from different places around the world each month.

Hello! You get between 6 and 8 sachets of spice in each box. These include freshly ground and whole spices as well as our unique blends!

The spices are all gluten and nut free but we do these them in the test kitchen so if your allergy is severe, please get in touch first!

I ordered a 6 month subscription as a gift to my son.
The first box never made it to him. I tried to ask to track the shipping but couldn’t get it. Although the team responded to my emails promptly initially and promised to send a replacement, we never did receive that first shipment.
No response to subsequent email.
At this point the second shipment has been received and I’m assuming the third is on the way.
This is a nice concept but there seems to be no way to track shipments once they are sent.

I gave this as a gift for my brother-in-law and he said the box was nice but they got about eight spices with about a tablespoon of spice in them. they tried the Raitta spice and were not wowed so I would have to say that I would not buy this box a second time. He felt we probably paid too much for what was actually in the box. I will try a different Spice box for comparison purposes and see how we fare next month. Sorry guys.
I'm so sorry to hear that your brother - in-law didn't enjoy using his spicebox, that's really disappointing.
The idea is that he use the spices alongside the recipe to create a full meal, rather than using them as generic seasonings, this is why they are portioned out accordingly.
