I stumbled across this subscription and thought it was worth a try for my toddler. I signed up for the litte adventurers books because, while my toddler is perfect and the smartest toddler in the world and all of that, she can't read yet, so I wanted something more interactive. I've gotten 2 boxes so far. The boxes have had 2 books in them each, but they've both been more like activities with a little reading rather than just generic little kid books. I am not sure if the contents are supposed to be a surprise, so I won't say what the books are we got, but they're all activities in a book, so they're a bit larger and a bit more involved. It gives me something really easy to pull out to keep her distracted for long enough to eat a meal without toddler fingers in it or to use the bathroom without an audience, so it's been very much worth it so far. Of course, since she is a toddler, her absolute favorite part of the boxes are the curly bits of paper that fill the box. The bits of paper are very easy to spot and vacuum up and will provide about 40 solid minutes of entertainment just on their own. I watched an entire episode of my favorite show while she played with the bits of paper and not once did she look up from them to demand something from me. Also, the activities are educational and help the little ones build their vocabularies. It's all a positive, really.

Found this site and love the fact my granddaughter receives monthly books to read to her. Her favorite books change monthly.
