I really enjoy receiving this box. It has a solid mix of high quality basics I always want to use (great pens and colored pencils, notebooks, and cute cases have made the perfect on the go art stash) PLUS things I probably wouldn’t pick up on my own (like a gorgeous pot of liquid watercolor) that gets me to try something new. Shipping to the US is a tiny bummer BUT it’s worth it when I come home to a box that feels like a surprise gift from a cool artsy friend.
The items I have received in my Well Inked box have all been so great! I have tried different methods that I wouldn't normally attempt because of the products that I have received from them. I tell all my creative friends about this! <3
Really overpriced combined with a $15 shipping cost, it’s not worth it for 1 note book and 4 pens. Yes, they are nice pens and are expensive but $40 total it just doesn’t add up.
Thank you for your feedback! As a small business we do our best to secure the best international shipping rates with Canada Post but we understand that as an international customer this could impact your willingness to subscribe.May 16, 2019
I always get excited when I see updates about a new box coming out. As I'm in the US it can take a little extra time to get to me, but it's SO worth the wait. Every box has had things that I didn't know that I needed in my life. A black paper notebook? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THIS WHOLE TIME. It's so fun to draw in -- I have to try to hide it from my kids because they enjoy it too! Someone find me my Milky Pens. I have some doodles that I need to create!
I was part of the Kickstarter as well as getting one afterwards as part of the subscription! Seriously this is so ridiculously fun. I absolutely love pens and stationary stuff and will go all out if I go into a store, so it’s a great way to try new things without spending $200 on pens. I still have the pen, pencil, clip, and notepad from the first box, and they are all high quality items that have lasted quite awhile! It’s such a great idea. There’s so many other types of subscription boxes (makeup, wine) and this is the first time I have heard of one for creative supplies! 10/10 would subscribe again
I've been subscribed to WIB since their kickstarter and I have no plans of stopping my subscription any time. The price point and frequency of box shipments is perfect and fits well into my budget. I love seeing what new art supplies they've curated for me to try out. My favorite so far has been the watercolor box and I just got an email that my next box has shipped so I'm eagerly anticipating opening that to see what new surprises are in store!
If you enjoy creating and trying new art supplies and branching out from your comfort zones, Well Inked Box is definitely for you!
Note: I am friends with the creator however I was not reimbursed in any way to write this review. I just REALLY like this idea she and her business partner came up with.
Well Inked Box is my quarterly creative sanctuary. Thoughtfully Curated with supplies I wouldn’t always think to try on my own it gives me a creative boost & inspires me to think outside the lines & definitely outside the box. This is an indulgence I wish was monthly but until then I eagerly look forward to the colourful treasures included along with the instructional cards & inspo they provide to get you started. Don’t wait - get this delicious design decadence for yourself - I can’t wait to see what you make from it!
Received my first box yesterday and am very happy!! Received 3 pens and a notebook. The notebook has black pages and the pens were all picked to work with the black pages (a white and a gold gel pen, and a green paint pen). I would probably not have picked these items myself, but am really happy with all of them and am excited to try them all out!
Also included was a Will Inked pin and a card with details on all the items (very helpful as I have never used a paint pen before!) and a quote.
Box contained a black paper notebook and some gel pens. Having black paper really kind of pushes you to think creatively about how you’re going to use it, which is a great twist on a standard journal. It’s also sleek and very attractive. Can’t wait to see what emerges!
I'm not artistic at all. I don't paint, or draw, or even write all that nice but I really enjoy this crate for having a chance to explore different mediums. For those that journal, this is super handy and I've enjoyed my supplies for bullet journals. The box is always well put together with a card that explains details of what's being included so you know you are getting quality supplies. The pens alone have become godsends for work. There really is something for everyone.
