Electromagnetism is one of the most important forces that we know of in physics. You may be familiar with magnets and electricity, but did you know that one can generate the other? You can use magnets to induce an electric field by causing electrons to move around, and when electricity flows, a magnetic field is created around it! This principle is used to create electric motors.

Q: I am getting a 3 month gift subscription of Little Workbox and am wondering if I order now (November 21) will it be the Nov box or the Dec one and will the second one be shipped in Dec or Jan? ThanksAsked by Debbie W., November 2020
Hi Debbie, if you order on Nov.21, we will ship the first box in 3 days and ship the second box on Jan. 1st. Hope it helps.
Well I did order the first box Nov 21 and the second one shipped the first week of Dec!! So....hope it's not a duplicate.
Q: Are there enough supplies for 2 people to use one subscription box?Asked by Allan G., September 2020
Each month you will get a box that has 2-3 projects connected to a specific STEM theme. It is perfect for two kids collaborating on those challenging projects.
Q: What is the suggested age range for this subscription?Asked by Allan G., September 2020
Our projects are designed for ages 8+. Younger kids may need some help like handling small screws etc.
Q: When is my subscription billed?Asked by Allan G., September 2020
Subsequent subscriptions are billed on the 1st day of each month.
My niece loved it. It’s really hard to find building projects for girls that are challenging. Wish they made more options for girls.
My 10 year old daughter LOVES it and colors the wooden pieces before she puts it together. It's all so very well made. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
My daughter really enjoyed. There are three awesome and quality projects in the box. Highly recommend!
My 9 yo grandkids love building the different kits. The screws are tiny and difficult to work with, even for their father.
My 9 year old had a blast filming himself opening his box and putting all 3 of his robots together. He spent approximately 4 hours total on the projects, then over an hour playing with the robots and racing them across the kitchen.
He did need some help with some of the fidgetier steps but after several failed attempts at subscription boxes for screen free educational fun, I think we finally found the one that will hold his interest.
This box was exactly what we were looking for for our little 6 y/o tinker. The recommended age is over 8, but we took a chance and we’re not disappointed. With quality supplies, easy to follow instructions and a little help from mom or dad, the projects are ones our little boy is very proud of.
My son (7 almost 8), loves the Little Workboxes so far. He has received 2 boxes so far with 5 total projects. We have worked together to make 3 out of the 5 projects and all the projects have kept him intrigued and excited to see his project work. He is also excited that it is something we do together. I bought a 6 month subscription for him for Christmas.
Ordered this little workbox as a Christmas gift for my friend's kids. They were thrilled with those projects included!
Got a 3-month subscription for our almost 7-yr old daughter who loves to build, and she was ecstatic when she opened the first box! She got 3 simple robots to build, and HAD to build the crawl bot on the first night. She's trying to patiently space out building the others so she can share and show them to her best friend. Only minor issue we had was the quality of the double-sided tape provided - it wasn't strong enough for holding the battery pack to the body of the robot, so we improvised. She was definitely proud of herself after building the first robot and is excited to build the other robots and see what projects she gets in future boxes.
Good little box with nice projects. Boy likes building the units himself. He is 5.
