Very Very annoyed......

I ordered and started my subscription on April 6, 2018 of the bigger box of $45+ tax+shipping, of 2 books—1 hardcover 1 paperback. On April 19, 2018 I was told that my box will be shipping in “the next week or two.” After not receiving a box or shipment email, on May 19 I asked where my box was thinking there was an issue; finally getting a response on June 4 saying boxes are still shipping.” On June 10 I got an email saying “part” of my order was shipped from amazon, but it only showed 1 item... Today it’s June 11 and I received a Manila bubble envelope that was half open (so I don’t know if I’m missing anything or not) and only 1 book.... I went back to YouTube to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind, and I am NOT happy since I paid $50 for not receiving what I paid for, what I was told I was getting, and for getting extremely poor service!......

I purchased a gift subscription for my mother-in-law but have experienced issue after issue: she never received the gift email, has no account with her email (even though it was provided), she got halfway through the profile and it kicked her out telling her she needed to pay for it. I sent an email to customer service a week ago and have yet to receive a response. At this point I am extremely worried that she will either get no books or they will not even be ones she will enjoy since the profile is not complete.

I was incredibly excited when I came across this subscription because the business model is very unique in that the customer fills out a detailed profile and receives a book (or books) that are specific to that profile. Also unique were the monthly e-mails in which readers were to see what books the company was potentially purchasing for the month and readers were to give feedback as to if they would be interested in any of those books. Readers were also given the opportunity to rate the books they received so that the company could send more or less of the similar type of book. I received two books in July and two books in August. All four books fit within my profile expectations. They didn't "wow" me, but they were enjoyable. Unfortunately, as my review title states, the customer service for Yureka is horrible. I attempted to contact Yureka support on July 24th about a question and did not receive a response until August 16th despite contacting via numerous contact avenues (including the "contact seller" portion of cratejoy). My actual question was also never answered. The price for the subscription will double starting in October and I see no benefit to the reader if they continue their subscription. In my case, I would still be getting only two paperbacks a month and zero customer service.
